On Behalf of The Mighty Quinn!
We thank you for being an integral part of our 1st Annual Mighty Quinn Golf Tournament, to benefit the Make A Wish CT Foundation. The tournament is dedicated to Quinn Hyland Pellegrino, who's lasting legacy will not be measured in time, but in impact. We ask you to take a few minutes to read about our Mighty Quinn.
On January 29, 2020, our lives changed forever when we unexpectedly lost our beloved son, Quinn Hyland Pellegrino, at 35 weeks of pregnancy due to a true knot in his umbilical cord. We had spent months dreaming of the day we would finally meet him, only to have those dreams shattered in an instant. He was delivered into this world on January 30th, 2020 and laid to rest in Darien, CT, on a sun filled day, surrounded by loving family. Named in honor of both Bob Dylan's Quinn the Eskimo and his grandfather, we played his song as we said goodbye. While Quinn never had the opportunity to experience the world, he forever changed ours; as Dylan wrote, "you'll not see nothing like the Mighty Quinn".
From the unimaginable heartbreak of losing Quinn came a promise: that his life, no matter how brief, would leave a lasting impact. We believe that a legacy isn't measured by the amount of time someone is here, but by the love they inspire and the lives they touch.
The Mighty Quinn Golf Tournament was created to honor Quinn's memory by bringing people together for a day of friendship, generosity, remembrance, and hope. Every dollar raised through this tournament will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, helping grant life-changing wishes for children and families facing the unimaginable unknown of critical illness. It is our way of turning profound loss into something that brings joy, strength, and unforgettable memories to children and families who need them most.
Although Quinn never got the chance to chase his own dreams, his legacy will help make the dreams of countless other children come true. Through your support, his story continues—not in sadness alone, but in compassion, kindness, and the belief that even the shortest lives can leave the greatest mark.
Thank you for helping us celebrate Quinn's life and for being part of a legacy that creates hope, one wish at a time.
Thank you all for your support,
- The Hyland & Pellegrino Families
