Join us for the 2026 Golfweek Senior National Championship, presented by USA Today Sports/Golfweek, at one of North Carolina's most prestigious private golf clubs, the Donald Ross designed, Benvenue Golf & Country Club in Rocky Mount, NC. Just a short 2 hr and 20-minute drive from The Senior Amateur Hall of Fame at High Point CC, this is your chance to compete in two Senior National Ranking Tournaments in one trip!

 

Benvenue Country Club in Rocky Mount, North Carolina is a classic Donald Ross design that reflects the game’s golden era, with tree-lined fairways, natural contours, and subtle greens that reward precision and smart shot-making. The par-72 layout, stretching roughly 6,600–6,700 yards, has hosted high-level qualifiers and association events, offering a fair but demanding test for elite amateur players. For a national championship, Benvenue delivers a tradition-rich setting, strong competitive pedigree, and an authentic private-club atmosphere that makes every round feel meaningful.

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Golfweek senior amateur tournaments are certified WAGR counting events leading to exemptions into the 2026 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship at Baltimore Country Club in Lutherville, MD.

Tournament Facts:

Eligibility:   

- Amateur Golfers, aged 55 and over by June 15, 2026.

-Handicap Index of 8.0 or lower

-This is a cart only tournament

-No caddies

 

Four Divisions:

-Senior age 55-64

-Super Senior age 65-69

-Legends age 70-74

-Super Legends age 75+

 

Tees:

-Senior Division will play approximately 6300-6600 yards

-Super Senior Division will play approximately 6000-6300 yards

-Legends Division will play approximately 5600-6000 yards

-Super Legends Division will play 5400-5600 yards 

The yardage will be determined by course conditions and might vary from day to day. 

 

Conditions of Play:

The current USGA Rules of Golf and Interpretations shall govern play.

 

Tournament Registration is $575.00 and includes: 

- Three (3) tournament rounds with cart and live scoring

- Driving range and practice facilities on practice round and tournament days

- Prize pool of $75.00 per player

- Bag storage

- Lunch following the final round of play

- Awards ceremony

 

Practice Rounds:

- Available for the special rate of $75. June 14 is the official practice round date; however, you may call Benvenue Country Club prior to June 14 for a practice round on a space available basis. The Pro Shop number is 252-443-3926.

 

Accommodations: Our host hotel is the Courtyard by Marriott, Rocky Mount, NC

Cancellation Policy:  

Deadline to register: June 9, 2026, or until field is full (Limited to 72 players)

Prior to May 2, 2026: Full refund minus $100 cancellation fee

May 2-15, 2026: 50% Refund

After May 15, 2024:  No Refund
