How did it all start?

The idea for Gift of Happiness Foundation began in 1992 when Eddie and Charlotte Haworth developed circus training workshops for underprivileged children in Liverpool, England.
In 2000, Eddie was invited by the British Embassy in Thailand to perform at a charity event for children living in poverty. Over the next two decades, Eddie and the Gift of Happiness team have worked with schools, businesses, and communities to provide needed resources and laughter to underprivileged children in Thailand. Another reason why Eddie founded the charity, is because he truly believes that all children deserve to have their basic needs met and have opportunities for learning, laughter, and joy.
Giving happiness is a recognition that we are all the same in our desire to be happy, healthy and safe and that giving happiness to others leads to a happy life. |

What we actually do?
Gift of Happiness partners with individuals, businesses, schools, hotels, and hospitals to acquire resources such as clothing, learning supplies, toys, hygiene products, and medical supplies and donates these items directly to children in poor communities, orphanages, and schools.
The foundation also utilizes donation funding to h urgently needed resources for children. Gift of Happiness also provides educational entertainment shows to children during donation events. The foundation is working with other NGOs to link the children we serve with other programs and resources that provide health and community services and educational opportunities.

Who he help?
Gift of Happiness directly services underprivileged families in Thailand. This includes children and adults living in slum communities around Bangkok, garbage dumps, orphanages, rural areas in Thailand, and hill tribe community refugee camps.
