Welcome to the 2026 Rocky Run Match Play

 

We will define one winner as the Rocky Run “Match Play Champion” of the year.

In the true spirit of Match Play, all matches will be 18 holes.

 

FIRST ROUND MATCHES BEGIN MAY 5
 

COMPLETION DATES

ROUND 1 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, May 17

ROUND 2 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, May 31

ROUND 3 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, June 14

ROUND 4 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, June 28

ROUND 5 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, July 12

ROUND 6 - Must be complete by sunset Sunday, July 26

 

Any/all matches that are not completed by the above deadlines will be a coinflip.

 

FORMAT - Individual Match Play

The field will consist of 64 players. 4 Divisions of 16 players will be created by random draw, with the exception of the final four from the previous season. Those four individual players will be put in separate divisions. Players will be seeded in each division based on handicap index. 100% of your handicap will be used for all matches. The winner of each match will advance to the next round until a champion is crowned. Consolation matches in the finals will be held to determine places and payout.

 

Tees

Men ages 54 & under - Combo Tee

Men ages 55-69 - Silver Tee

Men ages 70+ -  Blue Tee

 

Extra Holes

In the event the match is tied after 18 holes, extra holes will be played in order to determine the winner. Extra holes must start on the same starting hole of your match (if your match started on hole 1, extra holes will start on hole 1). Handicaps and bumps will apply during extra holes.

 

Entry Fee

The entry fee for the Match Play is $25.00.

 

To schedule your match please call the Pro Shop and we will provide your opponent’s contact information.

 

Scheduling your match:

It is your responsibility to touch base with your opponents and schedule your match. Please contact the pro shop for contact information of your opponent as we will have this for each competitor. You are given 2 weeks to play your match. All matches for the given round must be complete by the completion deadline. Completion deadlines are listed above. If you are unable to mutually agree on a tee-time, there will be a standing tee-time of 10:00 am on the Monday following the completion deadline. (Tee-time may be adjusted due to previously scheduled events at Rocky Run) If neither opponent is able to show up for the final set tee-time, the outcome will be decided by a coin flip from the Tournament Committee.
