PRACTICE ROUND: Practice rounds are available on Sunday, August 16, starting at 2 p.m. Call (734) 676-1169 to make a tee time.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as GAM contestants.

 

GPS & RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4.3, for which the penalty is TWO STROKES for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the stipulated round.

 

FOOD: A lunch for players only will be served at the club between the two rounds on the first day of the tournament. There will be an option to purchase lunch for your caddie.

 

CADDIES/CARTS: This is a walking competition, and caddies are permitted for this championship. Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart, is submitted to the GAM at least two days prior to the competition. Requests and doctor’s notes can be submitted to tournaments@gam.org and doctor’s notes can also be faxed to (248) 478-5536 attn: GAM Tournament Dept.

 

PRACTICE RANGE: Range opens one hour prior to the first tee time and is complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The practice range has a distance limit; players who are seen deliberately exceeding it are subject to disqualification.

 

SECOND-ROUND CUT: Following the second round, a cut will be made to the low 30 players and ties. Final round tee times will be sent out approximately 1 hour after all second-round scores are posted.

 

WITHDRAWAL:  If you must withdraw, please notify the GAM by e-mailing tournaments@gam.org. If you must withdraw within 24 hours of the competition, please contact the GAM office at (248) 478-9242 ext. 124. Failure to notify may result in suspension from future GAM competitions.
