Rain/Weather Policy

Day 1 = The main goal is to get all participants done with round 1 = 18 holes.

If a group cannot finish their round due to darkness, play is suspended, and players shall mark their ball's exact location to resume early the next morning for completion round 1.

After the completion of round 1 the Greens crew need to start their maintenance. Mow or roll greens, change cups, set tees, etc. Once completed we will start round 2.

Round 2 Weather concerns.

a. If round 2 starts and is delayed for more than 2 hours we will need to shorten the tournament to 27 holes.

b. The tournament director may need to put an emergency cut into action if the weather is bad or a bad forecast is looming.  This means that all players in the morning will be cut and the Sunday afternoon wave remains in the field, with possible altercations to their tee times. Such as emergency shotgun start at a given time or delays.

Thank you for registering for the 78th Annual Pine Hills Invitational!

Please make sure to download the Golf Genius app onto your phone. Create a username and profile. Login. Now you have access to all the tournament info. Tee times, news, updates, leaderboard, scorecard, contest results, and more.

Please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before your tee time. When you get here, first things first, please register at the check-in table out front. At the registration table you can grab your tournament gift (hat) and drink tickets for the day. After that head into the pro shop to pay your tournament entry fee, enter the Saturday skins and pins games and rent a cart if you desire to ride. Cart Rentals are $20. Lunch is included in your entry fee. The meals will be available starting at 11am.

The Driving Range will be open. Feel free to come and warm up before your round. Please remember that the range is limited to 230-yard shots. If you hit driver, fairway woods or hybrids you may hit it into play and possibly interfere with the tournament. There will be Volunteers shuttling players back and forth. Please locate one of these volunteers to catch a ride. They will have carts with seats on the back.

Please be at the 1st tee 10 minutes before your tee time for the player meeting. This is very important for the pace of play in the tournament and helps us get everyone off on time.

We will hold a $10 skin games daily for the event. There will be Champion, A Flight, Senior and Super Senior skins games.  The skin game will roll over from Saturday to Sunday if there are no winners on Saturday. If it does rollover, only those players who got it on Saturday are eligible for Sunday and must ante another $10.  If we go through Sunday without a winner, we will default to best score on hole 17 and split the pot with those players. Four years ago, we had a single skin winner, in the champions game, for the two-day event with an eagle on #12 for $740. Take care of your buy in in the pro shop.

On day one of the tournament, there will be a few contests going on - long drive on #2, which is day one of the two-day competition. The winner takes $100 club merchandise. The other is a pins game. $10 to get in. We will have 4 pins out on the course. Holes 6,8,15 and 17. On closest to the pin contests, place the hook on the pin and measure to the front of your ball and write down your distance and name. Saturdays pins game is paid out in cash.

On day two of the tournament there will be Long Drive on hole #3/#12 ($100), Long drive on hole #5/#14($50), CTP #6/15 ($100), CTP #8/17 ($100) and Long Drive for Seniors on hole #9/#18 ($50). All contests are paid out with club merchandise. On closest to the pin contests, place the hook on the pin and measure to the front of your ball and write down your distance. There are no entry fees for the contests on day 2. If you get it, don’t forget to claim it! Write your name down on the sign.

Tee times for Sunday will not be available until 8pm on Saturday night. The last card will be turned in between 6:30 and 7:15. Keep checking the Golf Genius app to find them. I will need an hour to finalize everything.

Typical Criteria to make the afternoon tee time on Sunday

Championship player = Shoot 78 or better

A Flight = Top 8

Senior = Top 4

Super Senior = Top 4

WE UNDERSTAND SOME PLAYERS THAT DON'T HAVE THEIR BEST DAY ON SATURDAY CHOOSE TO WITHDRAW. No shame in that. However, PLEASE let me know so I can adjust the tee times accordingly. Having to figure out no shows in threesomes can be a pain for me so please help me out. Do your fellow tournament players a favor and give me a heads up by the end of your round.  If you need special accommodation to play, please tell me in person so I can make sure you are taken care of.

Most importantly, our main line of correspondence to players is by email and on the Golf Genius app. Weather updates, changes, etc will be emailed. Tee times and general tournament info will be on the Golf Genius tournament home page. Please save yourself and us headaches by checking your email often during the tournament. Your curious phone calls and text messages are only going to slow down the process of getting an email out or information posted. Please, please avoid the temptation of calling or texting and patiently wait for your email. Thank you in advance for understanding.

All payouts will be done in Pro Shop Merchandise. Please use your merchandise before November 15th.

We ask all cart riding players to pair up on the first tee, if not already paired, so we are only sending two carts out per group.

Spectator carts will be allowed but as always, only when we know that all the players have been taken care of.

The restaurant is open serving normal hours this week. We have a great culinary team serving up some delicious food.

Saturday 11am to 8:30pm we have a variety of great specials on top of our normal menu. Find more info on our Facebook page.

Sunday 10am-7pm. We serve brunch from 10-2 and our normal menu from 2-7.
