Terms & Conditions

WAGC Mauritius Qualifiers & National Final

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) Mauritius Qualifiers and National Final. By registering for any event, participants acknowledge and accept the rules, procedures, and conditions outlined below.

1. Organizer

The World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) Mauritius Qualifiers and National Final are organised and administered by the authorised local organisers in Mauritius.

The organisers reserve the right to manage, modify and administer all aspects of the competition including eligibility, formats, scheduling and prize allocation.

2. Eligibility

Participation is open to amateur golfers holding a valid official handicap recognised by an authorised golf federation or golf club.

Players must compete strictly within the official WAGC handicap divisions, which are:

Division Division A Division B Division C Division D Division E
Handicap Range 0 – 5.4 5.5 – 10.4 10.5 – 15.4 15.5 – 20.4 20.5 – 25.4
  • The organisers reserve the right to verify handicap indexes and adjust divisions where necessary to ensure fair competition.
  • Any player found to have provided incorrect handicap information may be disqualified.
  • Players must be 18 years of age or older.

3. Registration

Submission of a registration form does not guarantee participation.

Entry is only confirmed once the player receives official confirmation from the organisers or their registration status is marked as confirmed on the tournament platform.

The organisers reserve the right to:

  • Limit the number of participants
  • Operate waiting lists
  • Decline registrations at their discretion

A security deposit is required to secure your participation. From one (1) week prior to the event, the deposit becomes non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances.

4. Competition Format

Each qualifier will generally be played as:

  • 18 holes
  • Individual competition (Stableford or Medal format depending on event)

The exact format may vary between events and will be communicated before each tournament.

All play shall be conducted in accordance with:

  • The Rules of Golf (R&A)
  • Local course rules
  • WAGC competition regulations

5. Qualification to the National Final

Players who win their respective handicap division at qualifying events may qualify for the WAGC Mauritius National Final.

The exact number of qualifiers per event may vary depending on participation levels.

Final qualification criteria remain at the discretion of the organisers.

6. National Final and World Final

Winners of each handicap division at the Mauritius National Final may be selected to represent Mauritius at the World Amateur Golfers Championship World Final.

Participation in the World Final is subject to:

  • Compliance with WAGC international rules
  • Passport and visa requirements
  • Travel conditions imposed by WAGC global organisers

The organisers reserve the right to adjust selection procedures if required.

7. Prizes

Prizes may include trophies, sponsor gifts, golf equipment, experiences or travel packages.

The nature, value and allocation of prizes may change at any time at the discretion of the organisers and sponsors.

Prizes are:

  • Non-transferable
  • Non-exchangeable
  • Not redeemable for cash

8. Event Modifications

The organisers reserve the right to modify or cancel any event due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions
  • Course availability
  • Safety considerations
  • Force majeure events

In such cases the organisers may:

  • Reschedule the event
  • Modify the format
  • Adjust qualification criteria

9. Player Conduct

All participants are expected to maintain the highest standards of sportsmanship, etiquette and integrity.

The organisers reserve the right to disqualify any player for:

  • Breach of the Rules of Golf
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct
  • Damage to property
  • Behaviour deemed inappropriate

10. Liability Waiver

Participation in the tournament is entirely at the player’s own risk.

The organisers, sponsors, partners and host venues shall not be held liable for:

  • Personal injury
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Any incident occurring during the event

Players are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate.

11. Media & Photography Consent

By registering and participating, players grant permission for the organisers to:

  • Photograph
  • Film
  • Record
  • Publish media content

from the event for marketing, promotional and media purposes.

This may include use across:

  • Social media
  • Websites
  • Press releases
  • Event promotional materials

12. Data Protection

Participants agree that their personal information may be shared with:

  • Event organisers
  • Official WAGC partners
  • Sponsors and commercial partners

for the purpose of event administration, communication and follow-up marketing activities.

13. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for any WAGC Mauritius event, participants acknowledge that they:

  • Have read
  • Understand
  • Agree to abide by

these Terms & Conditions and any additional rules communicated by the organisers.
