Weekly Sign-Up Process
-
Sign-ups will open each week one week prior to play via the Golf Genius app.
Players should select the week they plan to play and confirm their participation.
-
Weekly sign-ups will close Monday @ Midnight prior to Thursday’s league play.
This allows time for the golf shop staff to finalize pairings and tee times.
-
Tee times and pairings will be posted in Golf Genius.
Players will be able to view their tee time and group directly within the app.
Walk-Ups
Walk-up players will not be accommodated. For this reason, signing up ahead of time through Golf Genius is required.
Cancellations & No-Shows
If you are unable to attend any certain week, please do not sign up for that week. If you do sign up and find out you can no longer play, please cancel your registration in Golf Genius or notify the golf shop as soon as possible.
Failure to notify the league of cancellation will result in one of the following penalties: 1st time offense is a variable point deduction. 2nd time offense will be a suspension of the preceding event. A 3rd offense will result in expulsion from the Men’s League (No Refund).
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in helping keep the league organized and running smoothly.
Golf Genius Scoring and Live Scoring
This season, the upstairs dining room will serve as the central gathering area following league play. The space will feature scoring tables where players can enter their results and check standings. In addition, the restaurant will be offering special league food and drink deals for players to enjoy after their round.
We will also be introducing live scoring through the Golf Genius mobile app. For this to run smoothly, all players are required to download the Golf Genius app.
As in previous seasons, Golf Genius will be used for:
-
Weekly league sign-ups in Golf Genius
-
Live scoring during the round
-
Viewing tee times and pairings
-
Tracking league standings and results throughout the season
Using Golf Genius will allow scores and results to be updated quickly, while also giving players the ability to follow the leaderboard and season standings in real time.
League Policies & Rules
Handicap Policy
The maximum league handicap is 27.0. Players with a handicap above 27 are welcome to participate, but no additional strokes will be given beyond the 27.0 maximum. Please note 50% of handicap will be used for the 9 hole play.
Rules of Play
All league play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf unless modified by league local rules. It is each player’s responsibility to know and follow the Rules of Golf. Players are expected to compete with honesty and integrity at all times, including accurately counting strokes, posting scores, taking proper drops, and applying rules fairly.
Sportsmanship & Conduct
All members, guests, and committee members are expected to treat one another with respect. Good sportsmanship is required at all times, and any abusive behavior, repeated disruptions, or conduct detrimental to the league may result in disciplinary action.
Pace of Play
Expected pace of play for league rounds is 2 hours and 15 minutes or less. Pace of play will be closely monitored this season. Players are expected to keep up with the group in front of them, be ready to play, and help maintain a steady pace throughout the round. A first violation will result in a warning. If pace does not improve after warning, a two-stroke penalty may be assessed.
Rules Disputes
Any rules disputes or player challenges brought before the committee must include all parties involved. If a ruling is uncertain during play, players should play two balls when applicable and seek a final ruling from the golf shop after the round. Any league-related disputes will be reviewed and resolved by the committee.
Local Rules
Out of Bounds / Lost Ball
Lost balls may be treated as a penalty area. Players may drop within two club lengths of the point where the ball was believed to be lost, no closer to the hole, with a one-stroke penalty. For out of bounds, players may drop in the nearest point of the fairway with a two stroke penalty or re-tee.
Hole #17
Balls entering the designated area on Hole #17 will be played as a hazard. Players may drop on the line where the ball entered, no closer to the hole, with a one-stroke penalty. There are no designated drop zones unless otherwise announced by league officials.
Ground Under Repair
Ground under repair in the fairway may be granted by group approval when an area is clearly damaged and should reasonably be marked. Relief should be taken at the nearest point of relief, no closer to the hole.
