The GAM Junior Stroke Play provides a great introduction to competitive golf for boys and girls. Forest Akers GC - East on the Michigan State campus serves as host.

Who: Entries are open to all amateur golfers who have not yet reached their 16th birthday by July 17, 2026, have a Handicap Index of 25.4 or less, and are residents of Michigan or are members of a GAM Member Club at the time of entry.

When: Thursday, July 16, 2026 - Friday, July 17, 2026

Where: Forest Akers GC - East

Format: Stroke play competition. Both Boys and Girls play 18 holes each day.

Registration Opens: Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM

Registration Deadline: Thursday, July 02, 2026 at 11:59 PM

Entry Fee: $100

GAM Foundation Junior Tournament Player Grants: The Golf Association of Michigan Foundation offers need-based financial grants to select junior golfers participating in GAM Championships. Grants are awarded through an application process that considers family financial needs and other factors contributing to funding gaps for competitive golf-related expenses.
