Day 2 Rules Sheet

 

Rules of play : All Play is governed by the Rules of Golf and Decisions established by the RCGA, and, where applicable, by the following Local Rules and Terms of the Competition, subject to changes, additions or deletions for particular tournaments or events. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for a breach of a Local Rules is the General Penalty. Stroke Play – Two Strokes.

 

Teeing Ground – Play is from the Yellow Tees

 

Rules:

1. OB – marked by White stakes and boundary fencing.

2. Summer rules are in effect, do not touch your golf ball. Exceptions: Holes #1, 2, 5 & 12. On the fairway cut of the hole being played, players may mark, lift, clean and place within one club length no closer to the hole.

3. Bunkers: Players are to play improved lies in all bunkers. Players are welcome to rake and smooth their lie and place their ball as close to the original position in the bunker as possible.

4. RELIEF FROM TREE ROOTS: If a player’s ball touches or is at rest on an exposed tree root, or if the tree root interferes with the safe intended and reasonable choice of swing of the player, and that root is located in a portion of the general area of the course cut to fairway height or less, the situation may be treated as ground under repair and the player may take free relief under Rule 16.1B by lifting and dropping the ball within one club-length of this point.

5. As a point of etiquette, it is recommended to leave someone in your group or a cart at the top of the hill on hole #15 until your group is ready to proceed to the green.

6. Pace of play is expected to be 4 hours and 15 minutes. Slow play penalties are at the discretion of the rules committee and can range from 2 shots to disqualification.

7. Second Ball Rule 3-3 If in doubt as to correct procedure: * Announce which ball you wish to score with. * Play a second ball, holing both balls out * Count strokes with each ball. * Ask the rules committee for a ruling before signing your scorecard.

 

 

All Score Cards MUST be signed by both the Scorer and the player and turned in immediately following play.
