Welcome to the Saturday Mens Club 2026

The Men’s Club season will begin on Saturday, April 4th. There will be two Men’s Club events each month throughout the season.

I encourage everyone to sign up in advance, and reminders will be sent out before each event.

June 13 – SVGC Skins (Individual)
June 27 – SVGC 4-Person Best Ball Net (Team)
July 11 – SVGC Stableford (Individual)
July 25 – SVGC Skins (Individual)
August 22 – SVGC 4-Person Best Ball Net (Team)
August 29 – SVGC Stableford (Individual)
September 12 – SVGC Skins (Individual)
September 26 – SVGC 4-Person Best Ball Net (Team)

* * You may select your partner for team events. Single participants will be paired with another member.

Registration

Registration happens on the Sunday before each league event.

For example, if the first event is on Saturday, April 4th, you must register by Sunday, March 29th.

Guests

Members may bring a guest at the SVGC member-guest rate, in addition to the Men’s Club league fee.

Guests must have a registered Golf Canada handicap to be eligible for gross and net prizes. Guests without a Golf Canada handicap will still be eligible for KP’s and the deuce pot.

Members are responsible for their guests’ behavior.

If the field is full, guest participation may be limited.

Guest Registration

To register a guest:

  1. Sign up for the event through Golf Genius as usual.

  2. During registration, use the Send Message to Manager option.

  3. Include the following information in the message:

    • Guest Name

    • Golf Canada Handicap Index

The event manager will then add your guest to the event field.

Pace of Play

Maintaining an enjoyable pace of play is essential to ensuring a great experience for all golfers in our league.

Expectations

Keep Up with the Group Ahead
Your position on the course is directly behind the group in front, not just ahead of the group behind.

Be Ready to Play
Plan your shot while others are playing, select your club in advance, and be prepared to hit when it’s your turn.

Limit Search Time
You are allowed three minutes to search for a lost ball. If you’re unsure, hit a provisional ball to save time.

No returning to the tee box if a provisional ball is not played. If you are out of bounds or cannot find your golf ball, you will take a drop for 4 and continue on the hole.

Continuous Putting
When practical, finish out your putt instead of marking and waiting for another turn.

Pick Up When Necessary
In a net or stableford format, pick up if you are out of the hole. Keep the game moving.

Efficient Cart Use
Drop off your partner and proceed to your ball. Park carts near the next tee whenever possible.

Target Round Time

Our goal is for all groups to complete their round in 4 hours or less.

Groups that fall behind may be asked to speed up or allow faster groups to play through.

Enforcement

League captains will monitor pace and remind groups to stay on track.

Chronic slow play may result in penalties, warnings, or adjustments in group pairings.

Score Attestation & Responsibility

SVGC Men’s Club players are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their scores. Each player must verify and attest to their own score, as well as their playing partner’s, before submitting their card.

Scores must be recorded honestly and accurately.

Any discrepancies should be resolved before submission.

Falsifying a score or failing to adhere to proper attestation will result in disqualification and potential suspension from future events.

By signing and submitting a scorecard, players confirm their acceptance of these terms.

Integrity is the foundation of the game — play fair, play true.

Sign-Up Instructions

Signing up for an event is simple.

Type the first three letters of your first or last name into the Select Name box to the left of this message. Most members’ names are already in the league roster, so your name should appear below the search box.

Select your name and click Next to proceed. You will then see a list of the weekly league events and a button to sign up.

You can register for any or all events at once.

Registration for each event closes on the Sunday before the event. Until that time, you can return to the page to cancel your registration if needed.

After the deadline, cancellations must be made by contacting the Pro Shop:

Once you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email within five minutes to verify that your registration was successful.

If your name does not appear in the roster list, you must register for the league by clicking the Register Now button above the Select Name box.
