ELEGIBILITY

Open to two-person teams of one male and one female.  Both team members must be active members of the GSGA.

FORMAT

36 holes of flighted, gross and net stroke play

  • Round 1: Four-Ball stroke play
  • Round 2: Modified Alternate Shot

PRACTICE ROUND

Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call The Club at Savannah Quarters to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on March 6.  Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax. Only credit cards will be accepted.

  • Tuesday-Thursday, after 11:00 a.m., based on availability.
  • Friday-Sunday, after 1:00 p.m., based on availability.
  • Saturday, March 24, contact club for availability.

YARDAGES & TEES

Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. A complete practice yardage sheet will be provided for players playing practice rounds.

  • Men’s Mid-Am – approx. 6400 yds.
  • Men’s Senior & Women with handicap of 9.9 and under – approx. 5800 yds.
  • Women with handicap of 10 and above – approx. 5200 yds.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 7:00 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on March 18. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice carts and range fees are $30 plus tax. Tournament round cart and range fees are included in the entry fee. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

PLAYER HOSPITALITY

The GSGA cordially invites all players to a player’s reception following the conclusion of Round 1 play on Saturday, March 23 at Savannah Quarters Country Club.

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the clubhouse. Only credit cards will be accepted.

Please note that there will be limited food service on Monday, March 26, as the club is typically closed on Mondays.

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the overall winner and the top 3 finishers in each flight.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.

CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION - The following conditions shall be in effect for this competition:

  • GSGA competitions are "spikeless" events. Therefore, metal and traditionally-designed spikes are prohibited. Penalty for breach of this condition is disqualification.
  • Players are responsible for posting their scores to the handicap system upon conclusion of this competition. Scores must be posted as tournament scores. Course slope and rating information is typically posted at the scoreboard during the competition. You may also contact GSGA for this information. Your scores are subject to review by your peers and your club's handicap committee.
