The Kent is a one day, four-ball stroke play competition. Four players score with their two best balls at each hole. The lowest total score of the two best balls of the four competitors on each hole, net and gross, will determine the winners. The field is limited to 72 players. Entries are open to amateur golfers who are members of a GCWGA member club, have posted ten (10) scores during 2024 and 2025, and have a current GHIN handicap index that is 18.1 or greater.

GHIN handicap on the day of registration will determine eligibility.

Handicaps will be adjusted for the slope/rating of the course with a maximum of 36 strokes no matter how high the player's index. The handicaps will be played at 85%, as suggested by the USGA for best-ball-of-four stroke play events. Players do not need to be members of the same club.

*If your handicap is 18.1 - 20.0 you are eligible to play in both Kent events.

PLEASE NOTE: The credentials for entering the GENIUS portal are not the same as the username and password you use for a GCWGA.org membership login

PRIZES: 

Prizes will be awarded for low gross and low net winners. Gross prizes take precedence over net prizes. Only one prize awarded per team.

Registration Closes - August 12, 2026 at 11pm

Rain Date - Thursday, August 27 2026 

ENTRY FEE: $400 per team-- $100 per player

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES: 

Each participant needs to have a player profile through GCWGA. The person registering the team will pay for all team members.  

Handicap index from August 20, 2026 will be used. 

No refunds will be given after August 12th, even if you are unable to play on the rain date.  Refunds will be minus processing fee.
