Welcome to Thursday Ladies Senior Golf

 

My name is Jean Lowe, and I am your captain for the 2026 season. I am looking forward to playing with you again this year.

We will be playing on Thursdays in the 9:00–10:00 tee time slots. Our purpose is to encourage senior ladies to come out and play golf in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with other ladies 50 and over.

First Day of Play

The first day of play will be Thursday, April 9th.

Registration

The sign-up deadline is 6:00 pm on the Sunday before each Thursday round.

Please make sure to register before the deadline so the Pro Shop can organize the weekly draw.

Guests

We will continue welcoming non-member guests, as we began doing last season.

Members may invite a golf friend to play for a $5 guest fee on any scheduled week.

Please inform the Pro Shop before 6:00 pm on the Sunday prior to play if you plan to bring a guest. The Pro Shop will then add your guest to the draw for that week.

On the day of play, your guest will:

  • Pay the regular member/guest green fee at the Pro Shop

  • Pay the $5 guest fee to our treasurer, Karen V.

Cost

$45 for the season
or
$5 for occasional events

Format

Weekly formats will include a variety of fun and social competitions:

  • Team play

  • Best Ball

  • Scramble

  • Standard Stroke Play

  • Match Play

  • Fun Games

Tees

Traditional play is from the Red Tees; However, players may choose other tees if they wish.

Scoring

Cards must be exchanged at the beginning of play.

After the round:

  • Scorecards must be handed in to the Pro Shop.

  • Scores will be entered hole-by-hole to determine the winner for the day.

  • Players are responsible for entering their own scores into Golf Canada (hole-by-hole).

Neat and legible scorecards are essential.

Prizes

Golf balls will be awarded each week for KP’s (Closest to the Pin).
These are donated in part by Tom Malpass.

Points will also be awarded throughout the season:

  • 1st Place: 10 points

  • 2nd Place: 7 points

  • 3rd Place: 3 points

Additional points:

  • Chip-ins – 2 points

  • Birdies – 2 points

  • Eagles or Chip-in Birdies – 5 points

  • Hole-in-One – 10 points

In addition to donating golf balls for our weekly KP prizes, Tom also contributes financially by providing a prize and trophy for the best putting average of the year.

Because of the Putting Trophy, players are asked to putt out each week.
