AGES/ELEGIBILITY

 Open to female amateur golfers between the ages of 9-18. Entrants must be at least 9 years old on or before the first day of the Championship (June 17) and must not have reached their 19th birthday before the last day of the Championship (June 19). Entrants must have a GSGA handicap index.

Low 84 entries by USGA Handicap Index.

FORMAT

                               54 holes of flighted, individual stroke play.       

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call Harbor Club to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on May 30th.  The practice round fee is $30 plus tax regardless of whether the player walks or takes a cart. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

Monday-Sunday, anytime based on availability.

YARDAGES & TEES

A practice yardage sheet will be available after the close of entries on the event portal page. Practice yardage sheets will also be available at the club. Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open one hour before the first starting time each day of competition.  The first starting times will be at TBD each day.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on June 12th. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CADDIES

All players must walk and carry their own bag or may use a pull cart. Caddies are specifically prohibited.  Pull carts are permitted.

RULES OF PLAY/PACE OF PLAY/CART POLICY

The GSGA Rules of Play, Pace of Play and Spectator Cart Policy for Junior Competitions shall be in effect. Click here to view policies.

Spectators may rent carts during the competition rounds at a cost of $30 per cart seat. The number of carts allowed for rental to spectators will be limited to two carts per group and no more than two people will be allowed per cart. The overall number of spectator carts rented is subject to change based on availability.  Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

HOTEL/LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS

Due to the late change in sites, we do not have any hotel blocks arranged for this event.  Please click on the travel info header of this event portal for access to the GSGA Getaways travel platform where you can find hotel deals in the area.  The site is being updated with Harbor Club info and should be available by 5/24.  

 

The closest hotel is The Lodge on Lake Oconee located at 930 Greensboro Rd., Eatonton, GA 31024.  

 

Additionally, there are numerous houses for rent in the area via the VRBO website.

PLAYER HOSPITALITY

The GSGA cordially invites all players to lunches in their honor at the conclusion of rounds one and two.  At the conclusion of round three, players are invited for ice cream desserts and treats throughout the prize presentation process. 

FOOD SERVICE

Food service will be available in the clubhouse. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

PRIZES

Prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in each flight. 

GA/SC JUNIOR CHALLENGE MATCH

The top SIX finishers in the Georgia Girls’ Championship will qualify to participate in the Georgia-South Carolina Girls’ Junior Challenge Match on August 3-4 at Palemtto Hall Plantation (Cupp Course) on Hilton Head Island, SC.  The 7th and 8th place finishers will be 1st and 2nd alternates.  Details will be distributed at the conclusion of the championship.  Players must be at least 14 years of age to qualify for the team.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email to jfages@gsga.org
