Competitor Information
Alcohol & Drugs
No drug or alcohol consumption will be permitted on the course before or during the competition. Failure to adhere to this may result in disqualification.
Code of Conduct (Rule 1.2)
- The standards of player conduct on the golf course during play at all competitions are available on the Policies webpage at peiga.ca, or you can click here to review before the competition.
- A competitor that chooses to leave the competition before completion could be subject to suspension.
- Verbal abuse to any volunteer, Mill River staff or PEIGA representative will not be tolerated and could result in disqualification.
- PEIGA Tournament Rules Committee may assess any of the following penalties listed below, based on the severity and frequency of the violation:
- Warning
- One penalty stroke
- General Penalty
- Disqualification
Note: Under Rule 1.2a, the PEIGA Tournament Committee may disqualify a player for serious misconduct for acting contrary to the spirit of the game.
Practice Round
- Available for a cost of $55+HST for competitors June 27 – July 2 after 12pm.
Arrival
- Register upon arrival in the Winston Lounge, located on the lower level facing the golf course, to receive scorecard, rules, pin sheets and tee gift.
- Competitors must report to the first tee a minimum of 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time.
Tees
- Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Mid Master Men | BLUE PEIGA Tees | 6700
- Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Mid-Master Women | GREEN PEIGA Tees | 5700
Scoring
- The scoring area will be in the Winston Lounge.
- Only one group at a time is permitted in the scoring area.
- When the round is complete, competitors are expected to go directly to the scoring area. Competitors will verbalize their scores to each other, sign the card and hand it to the scorer.
Hole Locations
- Competitors will be provided with hole location sheets and are permitted to use distance measuring devices (slope must be turned off).
Golf Carts
- There will be a maximum of 2 carts per group.
- Cost is $25 +HST /seat.
Practice Area
Range balls are complimentary. The driving range will open at 6:00am on tournament days. Unless authorized by the committee, once a competitor has started their round for the day, they are not permitted any practice or warm-up on the driving range or the practice putting green, or the par 3 course until their play for the day is complete and their scorecard turned in, including when play is suspended or otherwise stopped for any reason.
Caddies and Spectators
- Caddies will be permitted, however there is a limit of 2 carts/group so please inform your supporters of this stipulation.
- Caddies in carts are not permitted to drive ahead of the group.
- Spectators will be permitted and must keep a distance of 50 feet from competitors. Please inform your supporters to remain off the fairway and keep to the cart paths as outlined in the PEIGA Tournament Policy.
Dress Code
- Golf attire dress code will be in effect.
Ties
- Each division winner will be decided by a Sudden Victory hole by hole starting at hole #1 and continuing until a winner is declared.
- For positions other than first place, retrogression will decide placing using USGA (9,6,3,1).
Pace of Play
- Has been established as 2 hours and 15 min for the front 9 and 2 hours & 15 min for the back 9. The total play time is 4 hours & 35 min for 18 holes allowing 5 minutes at the turn
Food
- There will be a beverage cart stationed between #2 Green / #13 Tee
- Food and drink options are available at the halfway house between 9 green and #10 tee.
