July 24 Rules and Competitor Information

 

Play is governed by the 2023 Golf Canada Rules of Golf. Phone # is 902-807-9294 for a player to call to request assistance if needed.

 

Arrival

  • Register upon arrival.
  • Competitors must report to the first tee a minimum of 10 minutes prior to their scheduled tee time.

 

Tees

  • Women | YELLOW Tees
  • 1st Division, and Senior Men | WHITE Tees
  • Championship Division Men | BLUE Tees

 

Dress Code

  • Golf attire dress code will be in effect.

 

Ties

  • For overall men’s and women’s division will be decided by Sudden Victory starting at hole #1 and continuing until a winner is declared.
  • All other ties will be broken using retrogression (USGA 9,6,3,1).

 

Scoring

  • The scoring area will be in the clubhouse restaurant.

 

Doubt As To Procedure

  • If a Referee is not available and a doubt arises as to how to proceed, play a second ball as per Rule 20.1.  The player MUST report the facts to the Committee before returning their score card.  Failure to do so will result in Disqualification.
  • In the spirit of sportsmanship please help fellow competitors with rules/procedures when possible.

 

Golf Carts

  • There will be a maximum of 2 carts per group. 
  • Cost is $20 tax included/person.

 

Caddies and Spectators

  • Caddies will be permitted, however there is a limit of 2 carts/group so please keep that in mind when planning.
  • Spectators will be permitted.

 

Alcohol & Drugs

  • No drug or alcohol consumption on course before or during the competition.  Failure to adhere to this could result in disqualification.

 

Practice Area

  • Range balls are complementary and will be on the range.

 

Pace of Play

  • Has been established as 2 hours and 15 min for the front 9 and 2 hours & 15 min for the back 9. The total play time is 4 hours & 35 min for 18 holes allowing 5 minutes at the turn

Conduct

  • The PEIGA Code of Conduct will be in effect, please click here to review before the competition.
  • A competitor that chooses to leave the competition before completion could be subject to suspension.
  • Verbal abuse to any volunteer, Eagles Glenn staff or PEI Golf Association representative by a competitor or their caddy before, during, or after the completion of the round will not be tolerated and could result in disqualification.
