Event Format

  • The field for both Divisions are filled based on rakings determined by order of finish in the Player of the Year point standings from 2018.                                                                                                                                                                              CLICK HERE for the top-32 2018 Men's Player of the Year point winners.                                                                 CLICK HERE for the top-32 2018 Men's Senior Player of the Year point winners.
  • Match Play 32 player bracket.  
  • Men's Match Play Bracket will be from the BLACK Tee - Approx. 6,861 yards.
  • Senior's Match Play Bracket will be from the BLUE Tee - Appox. 6,535 yards.
  • ***2018 Top 32 Point Leaders in both Divisions Must Register by April 24 to secure a spot in the 2019 Match Play Championships***
    • After April 24, we will begin to go down the points list until 32 players are entered into each bracket

Quarter Finals

  • Men's Division - Tee Times (1:00 pm - 1:24 pm)
  • Senior Division - Tee Times (1:32 pm - 2:04 pm)

 

Sunday, May 19:

Semi Finals

  • Men's Division - Tee Times (8:00 pm - 8:08 am)

Championship Matches

Cart Policy

Carts are encouraged but not mandatory. Cost of cart is included in entry fee.

 

Pairings

  • Tee times will be provided approximately one week before the event
  • Players will be paired based on seeding in their respected brackets

 

Range

The practice range will be open to all players each day.

 

Food Services

  • Lunch is paid for all players each day.  Please only one lunch per player per day. 
  • *Caddies lunches are NOT included in entry fee and must be paid for separately.*

 

Practice Round

There is no formal practice round for this event. Those wishing to setup a practice round may call the pro shop.

 

Score Posting

This competition is a tournament and must be posted, see Section 5-1c  of the USGA Handicap System. 

When 13 holes are played an 18 hole score will be posted see Decisions 5-1a/3 through  5-1a/5, also see Section 4 and Decisions 5-1c/1, 5-2a/5, 5-2a/7 for one or more holes not completed. 

Participants are to post their own score.

Refund Policy

Refunds of tournament entry fees will be made in accordance with the following rules:

  1. If the player withdraws BEFORE the registration deadline, he/she will be granted a refund of the full entry, minus the $10.00 credit card processing fee. (The refund will be credited back to the players card).

 

  1. If the player withdraws from a tournament AFTER the registration closes, no refund will be granted.

 

RDGA Code of Conduct

The Rochester District Golf Association (RDGA) and its member clubs believe that participation in RDGA amateur events is a privilege that carries responsibilities.  In order to enter an RDGA event, a player must be an amateur golfer and be a member in good standing at an RDGA member club.  He or she must adhere to all RDGA tournament requirements, including possession of a USGA Handicap Index, age and/or gender for selected events, appropriate golf attire, mandatory use of riding carts at selected events, and obey local host club rules that may apply to players during a competition.

 

The most recent edition of the USGA Rules of Golf will govern all play in RDGA events, along with the RDGA Conditions of Competition and any Local Rules that may be put into effect for selected events.  All players must familiarize themselves with the provisions of Rule 1.2 of the USGA Rules of Golf and conduct themselves accordingly, i.e. by playing in the spirit of the game, acting with integrity, showing consideration for others, and taking good care of the golf course, as those concepts are described in Rule 1.2a.

 

In accordance with Rule 1.2b of the USGA Rules of Golf, the RDGA has adopted this Code of Conduct to apply to all players in RDGA events.  In the discretion of the RDGA Rules Committee, a player may receive the General Penalty (loss of hole in match play or 2 strokes in stroke play) for conduct that breaches this Code.  A penalty of Disqualification may be applied for any serious misconduct that occurs.  Examples of “serious misconduct” include, but are not limited to:  deliberately damaging a putting green, deliberately moving tee markers or boundary stakes, deliberately distracting other players, refusing to follow the Rules of Golf, repeated use of vulgar or offensive language, or showing disrespect to a Rules Official.
