Welcome to the 2026 Tucson City Amateur Golf Tournament!

We are thrilled to have you join us for three days of exhilarating competition across Tucson City Golf's finest golf courses. This year’s event takes you to the three Tucson City Golf courses that once hosted Professionals on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour, with El Rio, Randolph North, and Dell Urich.

DATE:  Friday, April 17th thru Sunday, April 19th

 

FORMAT: 54 holes of individual stroke play.  Championship Flight is Gross Only.  All other Flights will have Gross & Net. (Can only win one)

YARDAGE:  Championship Flight will play Blue Tees.  All other Flights will play White Tees.

                                                                                   

ELIGIBILITY:  Open to all male amateurs who have an active USGA Handicap may participate in this competition.  Must have a 4.0 handicap or lower to play in the Championship Flight.  There are no age divisions in this event.


TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

Round 1 – El Rio:  7:00 a.m. - 1:18 p.m. start from #1 tee

Round 2 – Randolph North:  7:00 a.m. - 1:18 p.m. start from #1 tee

Round 3 – Dell Urich:  7:00 a.m. - 1:18 p.m. start from #1 tee

 

Pairings for Round 3 will be sent out at the completion of play of Round 2, with the following order of play.

 

Fifth Flight:  7:00 a.m. – 7:18 a.m.

Fourth Flight:  7:36 a.m. – 8:03 a.m.

Third Flight:  8:21 a.m. – 8:48 a.m.

Second Flight:  9:06 a.m. – 9:33 a.m.

First Flight: 9:51 a.m. – 10:18 a.m.

Championship Flight:  10:36 a.m. – 1:18 p.m.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS: Practice rounds can be scheduled by contacting the golf shops directly or visit  https://www.tucsoncitygolf.com/book-tee-times/.

                                                                                    

 

PRACTICE FACILITY:  Will be available one hour prior to play. 

 

CADDIES: Caddies are permitted for the event.  They must agree to walk unless there is an available seat in one of the player’s carts. Caddies riding in a cart MUST NOT displace a player.

 

GOLF CARTS: The use of golf carts is permitted and NOT included in the registration fee. Golf cart fees can be paid at the golf shop before each round. TCG Golf Cart policy (maximum of 2 riders per cart and 2 carts per group) will be strictly enforced. 

 

In addition, the following policies will be enforced:

  • Spectator carts are not permitted, NO EXCEPTIONS.
  • Carts are assigned only to contestants.  A caddie may use a cart only if a contestant is not displaced by such use.
  • Restrictions on cart use for players are at the discretion of the Host Site, and all players are bound by those requirements, subject to withdrawal for violations of that policy.
  • Carts must be kept on paths if available near greens and tees.
  • Any non-player riding with a player is considered a caddie and subject to any potential Rules violations.
  • Pull carts are permitted. 

DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES: Distance Measuring Devices are allowed. The player may only use the function that measures distance only.  Features that gauge information based on: slope, wind speed and direction, gradient, or elevation changes may not be used.

 

REFUND POLICY:  

  • Players who withdraw prior to the first round will receive golf shop credit in place of a refund.
  • Players who withdraw after the first round begins will not receive a refund.

 

CODE OF CONDUCT: By submitting an entry for the Tucson City Amateur, the players are expected to conduct themselves professionally. Drinking alcoholic beverages should be kept to a minimum. Smoking is limited to cigarettes, cigars, and pipes – no other substances are allowed.

 

Code of Conduct:

Players must act with integrity and show respect for the course and others nearby.  

  1. Penalty assessments which may be imposed by the OIC such as but not limited to:
    1. Warnings may be given for minor or incidental violations
    2. One-stroke penalty
      1. Inappropriate language or actions heard or seen by others
      2. Minor physical damage to the course or course equipment
      3. Inappropriate attire
      4. Club throwing in anger (as opposed to tossing)
    3. Two-stroke penalty
      1. Verbal abuse of other players, officials or spectators
      2. Criticism of the course or its management
      3. Any inappropriate language or behavior which may reflect negatively on the Club
      4. Repeated minor violations
    4. Disqualification
      1. Purposeful interference with another player’s play
      2. Throwing a club toward another person
      3. Repeated major violations
      4. Verbal threats or physical aggression
    5. Suspensions may also be imposed for serious violations.  

Note: A player may appeal any penalty to the event OIC.
