SNGA Caddie and Spectator Policies

CADDIE POLICY

Caddies are permitted only in select SNGA events and that information will be emailed out prior to the event.  For the events where caddies are permitted, the SNGA employs the "One Seat Policy".  Either the player OR their caddie may ride in a golf cart at any time. But at no time may BOTH the player and caddie ride in a golf cart at the same time. This includes a player or caddie standing or riding on the back of a golf cart. Players/caddies who violate this policy are in violation of the SNGA Policy and subject to penalty under Model Local Rule G-6. The player may receive the General Penalty for each hole in which they breached the Local Rule. If a breach occurs between the play of two holes, it applies to the next hole.

EXCEPTIONS: There will be events where the caddie policy may differ from what is stated above. If that is the case, the policy that will be used for a particular event will be communicated to all players in advance of the tournament.

NOTE: There are golf courses which will not allow caddies due to safety concerns or other issues. When we play a course with a no caddie policy, the players will be informed in advance and the SNGA will respect the courses decision in this matter.

SPECTATOR POLICY

Spectators are permitted to attend SNGA tournaments. Spectators must walk. The SNGA does not permit spectators to rent or take carts from the host facility onto the course. All spectators must maintain a reasonable distance from the players and remain on or close to the cart paths. A spectator violating this policy will be given a warning. If the violation continues they will be asked to leave the property.

NOTE: There are golf courses which will not allow spectators due to safety concerns or other issues. When we play a course with a no spectator policy, the players will be informed in advance and the SNGA will respect the courses decision in this matter.
