Tournament Stroke Policy

The SNGA Tournament Stroke Policy pertains only to players who compete in the Championship Division. We want all players to strive to continue to develop their golf game and become stronger players. For many players, competing and winning in the Championship Division is a goal which they strive for. We want to ensure that the Championship Division continues to offer the highest level of competition for amateur golfers in Southern Nevada.

Any player who competes in the Championship Division who shoots two consectuive rounds of more than 12 over the course par, or one round of more than 16 over the course par, will be subject to review by the tournament committee. Based on that review, a player may become temporarily ineligible to compete in the Championship Division in future events. That player will have the opportunity to play in another division (Net, Senior, Silver) during this time. All players will be able to petition the tournament committee for reinstatement. Evidence of improved play and scoring should be provided during the petition phase.
