SNGA Withdrawal and No Show Policies

Withdrawal Policy

The SNGA understands that players may have to withdraw from a tournament for a number of reasons. Below are the proper procedures to withdraw from a tournament based on when that withdrawal takes place.

  • Withdrawing Before the Tournament Registration Deadline:
    • If you need to withdraw and it is before the registration deadline for the event in question, all players must go online and withdraw themselves using the event portal. This is the only method of withdrawing. Sending an email or leaving a voicemail will not be considered a proper withdrawal.

  • Withdrawing After the Tournament Registration Deadline:
    • If you need to withdraw after the registration deadline for an event has passed, you must send an email to (Tbrand@snga.org) or call the SNGA office (702-430-2600). The SNGA refund policy will apply in these instances and will be based on when the withdrawal takes place.

No Show Policy

The SNGA takes "No Shows" seriously. A No Show occurs when a player does not show up for any round of a tournament and gives no advance notice. Multiple No Shows will result in a temporary suspension from SNGA tournaments.

  • First No Show - After a players first No Show, they will be put on the SNGA's "No Show List". This list runs on a calendar year and resets on January 1st each year.
  • Second No Show - If a player who is on the SNGA "No Show List" has a second no show, that player will be suspended from competing in SNGA events for a 6-month period. The start and end date of that suspension will be determined by the SNGA and relayed to the player.
  • Third No Show - If a player who returns from a 6-month suspension due to a no show has a third infraction, that player will be suspended for a minimum of one year.

NOTE: Any player who breaches this policy over the course of multiple years may have stricter suspensions enforced if the SNGA Tournament Committee feels that additional penalties are warranted.
