U.S. AMATEUR LOCAL & WOMEN'S AMATEUR QUALIFIER – FACT SHEET

FORMAT/QUALIFYING PLACES: Stroke play competition conducted over 18 holes. 70 contestants will compete for SEVEN (7) qualifying spots and TWO (2) alternate positions for the in the 2026 U.S. Amateur Final Qualifier. 22 Women will compete for ONE (1) qualifying spot and TWO (2) alternate positions for the 2026 U.S. Women's Amateur.
REGISTRATION
Players are requested to check in at Pro Shop upon arrival at the course. Players are to report to the first tee, ready to play, 10 minutes before their starting time.
STARTING TIMES
Starting times for the qualifying round will be available online on Friday, June 12th.

A tentative hole-by-hole breakdown of yardages is in the "players" section. Golf Canada reserves the right to change the tees and yardages based on course and weather conditions.
CADDIES
If players would like to reserve a caddie for the qualifier, please contact TBD. Players should provide caddies with a minimum of $50 per round.

TRANSPORTATION

PRACTICE FACILITIES
The practice facilities will open at 6:45 A.M. Range balls are complimentary, courtesy of the host club. Practice areas will not be available after the round.

All events will take place at Gorge Vale Golf Club unless otherwise indicated.
2026 USGA LOCAL RULES & TERMS OF THE COMPETITION (HARD CARD): Click here to view the 2026 USGA Hard Card. All Local Rules listed on the Hard Card are in effect for the competition, including the competition being played under the Rules of Golf.
FOOTWEAR: Rule 4.3 is modified in this way: During a round, a player must not wear shoes with traditionally-designed spikes (regardless of composition, i.e., ceramic, plastic, etc.) or spikes, of any design, comprised either entirely or partially of metal (if such metal may come in contact with the course). Penalty for breach of this Local Rule: See Rule 4.3.
DRIVERS/GOLF BALLS: The Local Rule for Conforming Driver Heads is in effect, See Model Local Rule G-1. The Local Rule requiring that all golf balls used be on the List of Conforming Golf Balls is in effect. See Model Local Rule G-3. Please check the USGA website, www.usga.org, for a list of approved golf balls and drivers.
GROOVES: The player’s clubs must conform to the grooves and punch mark specifications in The Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. See Model Local Rule G-2. The exception for Ping Eye2 Irons manufactured before March 31, 1990 is not if effect.
DRIVER LENGTH & GREEN-READING MATERIALS: The Model Local Rules limiting the Driver Length to 46” (MLR G-10) and further restrictions on green-reading materials (MLR G-11) are not in effect for Local Qualifying. The interpretation on the limitation of green-reading materials in 4.3a/1, which limits the size and scale of putting green maps, is still in effect as a part of the 2024 Rules of Golf. Additional information can be found at usga.org/GRM.
DMDs: The use of distance-measuring devices (DMD) to measure distance only (Rule 4.3) is permitted in all USGA qualifying rounds.
PACE OF PLAY: It is a condition that players must play without undue delay and in accordance with guidelines established by the Committee. Golf Canada’s Individual Pace of Play Policy is available HERE and in effect for the Qualifier.
