Important Notes

 

Field Size:  Maximum of 80 4-person teams (320 total players)

 

Registration:

  • One person per team must register and pay for the entire team at one time (total team cost is $2,200).
  • Information required for each person at registration:
    • LPGA Amateur ID Number
    • Handicap Service (GHIN, GolfNet, etc.)
    • Handicap ID Number
  • The first 60 teams with paid registration are guaranteed a position in the field. After the 60 team limit has been hit, teams will go onto a waitlist.  If there are more than 20 teams registered for the last 20 positions, these spots will be assigned by lottery.  When a team registers and goes onto the waitlist, credit card data will be collected but not charged.  When a team is moved from the waitlist to confirmed in the field - the fee will be charged and a confirmation email will be sent to the team members.

 

Tournament Format:

  • This will be a 36 hole net scramble event using the Ambrose* handicapping method.
  • The team must use 4 drives from each player.
  • Tees will be assigned by an individual player's Handicap Index.
  • There will be an 8:00 am and a 1:00 pm shotgun start each day.  (Teams will most likely start in the opposite shotgun on the second day; Saturday morning ==> Sunday afternoon and vice versa.)
  • Competition will be on both the Jones and the Hills Courses.
  • Tee Sheets will be available the week of the tournament.

 

* The Ambrose Team Handicap method is fifty percent of the average of the four players' Course Handicaps rounded to the nearest whole number.
 
Example: 
Course Handicaps of 14 + 10 +15 + 18 = 57
The average is 14.25

50% of the average is 7.13, which rounds to 7 (0.5 rounds up)
