NET AVERAGE RECOGNITION

 

Location:  All Golf Courses

Date:  Season long - April 2019 through September 2019

Registration Opens: 4 weeks prior to each TPGL round

FORMAT

Every round a TPGL member plays counts towards the net average recognition. A player's net average is the sum of all of their TPGL net scores divided by the number of rounds played.  

 

WHAT'S AT STAKE?

This is the second road to the playoffs. Excluding the 18 Head to Head qualifiers, the 9 players with the lowest net average score gain a playoff spot. The TPGL will use as many decimal places to the right as needed to determine tie-breakers.

 

ELIGIBILITY

The tournament is open to all dues-paying members of the TPGL and players must play at least 16 net average rounds. 

  

STARTING TIMES

Tee times for the Championship will be posted on the TPGL website 48 hours in advance.  

 

CADDIES AND CARTS

Caddies and carts are permissible in all TPGL events - rain or shine unless otherwise instructed. Players are also allowed to walk and carry or walk and push a cart in all TPGL events.

 

PRIZES

The TPGL Net Average Competition is similar to the PGA Tour Vardon Trophy recognition.

 

The player with the lowest net average for the year (all of their TPGL rounds) among all TPGL players will be recognized as the TPGL Vardon Trophy winner and will receive a $100 gift certificate and trophy. 

 

There is no purse or prize money for the 9 Net Average Recognition qualifiers.

 

TIES

In the event the Player of the Year competition ends in a tie, players will split the purse and the recognition.

 

RAINOUT

In the event that a round is cancelled due to inclement weather, players will need to make up the date.  

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Players may use Distance Measuring Devices in all TPGL events.

Non-metal spike policy is in effect.
