Eligibility


Open to all male amateur golfers regardless of age or affiliation.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$310.  Deadline for entry is May 31st at 4:00 pm.  Maximum field size is 52 teams.

Format

36 holes of four-ball stroke play (gross scoring only). Champion to be determined in each division.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.

Qualifying for Heart of America Four-Ball Match Play Championship

The top 8 available teams from the final results of the Open Division of the Kansas Four-Ball Championship will be invited to participate in the 2019 Heart of America Four-Ball Match Play Championship to be held August 6-7 at Lawrence Country Club.  More information on qualification, format and paying the $200 team match play entry fee will be made available to the qualifying teams.  Click here for more information on seeding, schedule of events, etc.


Divisions

Two age divisions:

 

  • Open (players of any age)
  • Masters (both players age 30 & Older)

 

Practice Round

Eagle Bend Golf Course is a public facility.  Practice rounds are available at the disrection and fee set by the host club.  Please call (785) 748-0600 to arrange a practice round.

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champions

In 2018 at Eagle Bend Golf Course, David Rismiller & Jason Seeman bested the team of Tyler Cummins & William Gantz in a sudden death playoff to take the championship crown.

The team of Bob Bezek & Dick Stuntz edged defending championships Dave Carson and Gary Lucas by one stroke in the Masters Division.

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are included for the championship as part of your entry fee.  Spectator carts are available at the discretion and fee set by the host club.  Caddies are allowed, but only one cart is allowed per team.

Registration

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Eagle Bend Golf Course accepts cash or credit card for all purchases.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
