LPGA Amateurs Ontario Trillium Challenge
Monday, July 20, 2026
Get ready for a day of big laughs, bold shots, and friendly competition as we take on Pheasant Run Golf Club—one of York Region's most scenic and spirited courses—for an event that keeps the energy high from the first tee to the final putt.
We’re mixing things up with three classic formats, each bringing its own flavour of strategy, teamwork, and just the right amount of chaos:
-
Scramble — Start strong with the ultimate team‑boosting format. Everyone swings, the best shot wins, and the good vibes roll from there.
-
Alternate Shot — The true test of partnership. One ball, two players, and plenty of opportunities for heroic recoveries and hilarious apologies.
-
Better Ball — Time to shine. Play your own ball, help your team with your best holes, and celebrate those clutch moments.
With Pheasant Run’s rolling fairways, towering trees, and signature risk‑reward holes, each format feels fresh and exciting. Whether you’re here to compete, connect, or simply enjoy a great day on a great course, this event promises memorable shots, great company, and a whole lot of fun.
Grab your partner, bring your best swing (or your best attitude), and join us for a triple‑format golf experience you’ll be talking about long after the final scorecard is signed.

- If a team withdraws from the competition prior to July 5, a 50% refund will be available; a full refund will be available if the team's slot can be filled by another team. After July 5, there will be no refund. All refunds will be subject to a $10 administration fee.
Event Format and Eligibility
Format Information:
- In "scramble" format, the team decide after each shot which one is the best shot. Each player on the team plays their next shot from that spot. The group then plays this way until the ball is holed out. The team must use 2 tee shots from each player.
- In "alternate shot" format, one player in the team will tee off on the even-numbered holes and the other player will tee off on the odd-numbered holes. After the tee shot, the other player will play the second shot, and players will alternate shots until the ball is holed out.
- In "better ball" format, each player will play their own ball on every hole. The lowest net score for the pair will be recorded as the team score for that hole.
Team Composition & Eligibility:
- Two women aged 18+.
- At least one player on each team must be a member of an LPGA Amateurs Chapter.
- Guests who have never been an LPGA Amateurs member or who have never participated in an LPGA Amateurs Ontario event are welcome!
- Registrants who have previously participated in an LPGA Amateurs Ontario event or are inactive members will be required to activate their membership to be eligible.
Handicaps:
Both players must carry a handicap* to be eligible for the Team Net prizes.
Team handicaps will be determined and applied as follows:
- Scramble - the team handicap will be 50% of the average of the two players' Course Handicaps
- Alternate Shot - the team handicap will be 100% of the average of the two players' Course Handicaps
- Better Ball - individual handicaps will be 100% of each players' Course Handicaps.
The event is open to a maximum of 72 teams.
* Valid Handicaps & Handicap Exemption Requirements:
- Current and verifiable handicap index from a handicap authority under the World Handicap System (WHS), such as Golf Canada or USGA. The Committee reserves the right to adjust the playing handicap for any player if verification cannot be obtained.
- Handicap exemptions will be granted if the following conditions apply:
- the player has never held a valid handicap
