2026 Golfweek Northeast Junior Open

Eligibility requirements: Any junior golfer age 13-19 at the start of the event that is not affiliated with a college golf program.

 

Format: 54 holes stroke play.

 

Divisions: Boys and Girls

 

Tees: Boys play approximately 6,700 yards; Girls play approximately 5,700 yards. (Approximate yardage based on weather conditions)

 

Conditions of play: USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect.

 

Entry Fee: $299.00

 

Tournament registration includes: Three tournament rounds, tee gift, lunch after round one, practice facilities.

 

Entry Deadline: 12 PM. Friday, July 1 or until the field is full

 

National Rankings: WAGR, Golfweek/Sagarin, Junior Golf Scoreboard.

 

AJGA PBE Status: Boys Champion - tbd

Schedule of Events:

 

Saturday July 4 & Sunday July 5 from 2:30 - 4:00 PM each day: Practice round must be arranged by player. To reserve a tee time, players should phone the Stow Acres Country Club golf shop and identify themselves as a Golfweek Northeast Junior Open participant.

 

11 AM - 1:30 PM each day. Player registration at the course. Registration is not mandatory, but players will receive tee gifts and other event information.

 

Monday, July 6, 7:30 AM: First round tee times / single tee start.

 

Tuesday, July 7, 7:30 AM: Second round tee times / single tee start. Lunch following the second round.

 

Wednesday, July 8, 7:30 AM: Final round tee times / single tee start. Awards ceremony following the completion of each division.

 

About the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today Sports: The Golfweek Junior Tournament Series presented by USA Today Sports is now in its 25th year. This is the first year of the Golfweek Northeast Junior Open. All events in the Series are nationally ranked by The Junior Golf Scoreboard and AJGA. All 54-hole events are WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking) counting events. The Golfweek International Junior Invitational held yearly in November, is the flagship event of the Golfweek Junior Tournament Series and annually boasts one of the top fields in junior golf. Entry is based solely on invitation, which is also extended to top finishers in other Golfweek Junior Series tournaments. 

 

At stake: The top ten in each division of the Golfweek Northeast Junior Open earn an automatic invitation to the 2026 Golfweek International Junior Invitational October 31 - November 1 which will be held at Celebration Golf Club in Orlando, FL.

Cancellation and refund policy: Players who cancel on or before June 10, 2026, will receive a full refund less a $40 processing fee. Cancellations that take place between June 11 and June 24, 2026, will receive a full refund less a $75 cancellation fee. Cancellations that take place after June 24, 2026, will result in NO REFUND. These dates correspond with our payments to Stow Acres CC so there are no exceptions.

 

*Please note: Refunds cannot be processed unless a player cancels via email contact with Ron Gaines (rgaines@golfweek.com). Players who cancel directly through the tournament web site are cleared from the portal and have no means of refund. There are no exceptions.
