Format: 18 holes of Modified Pinehurst. This format is as follows: Each player tees off on every hole. After hitting their tee shots each team member plays their partners ball for the second shot. After the second shot the team chooses the ball they wish to continue playing, the player that did not play that ball takes the next shot. The team then alternates who plays until the ball is holed. There will be a gross flight and a net flight. The team handicap will be calculated as 60% of the lower handicap and 40% of the higher handicap.

Tees: Play will be from the White tees for men and Gold tees for ladies

Out of Bounds: Defined by white stakes and chain link property fences on 2/3/4/5/10 and the parking lot and paved roadway on 3/9

Penalty Areas: Areas marked with red stakes are to be treated as lateral penalty area and relief may be taken according to Rule 17.1.

Ditches: Any drainage ditch not marked as penalty areas (red stakes or paint) will be considered a french drain. Free relief of one club length will be given from the nearest point no closer to the hole.

Ground Under Repair: Ground under repair will be marked by green signs, stakes or paint. The mound behind the pond on 16 is considered ground under repair. The marked area to the left of the pond on 11 is considered ground under repair. If your ball ends up in any of these areas, you may take relief according to Rule 16.1.

Range Finders: Range finders and other distance measuring devices may be used to obtain distance only, slope features must be turned off.

Lost Ball: If a player’s/team’s ball is lost in an area other than a red staked penalty area, the player must replay from the spot of their last stroke with a penalty of stroke and distance. If you are unsure of your ball’s location, you may play a provisional ball under rule 18.3.

Preferred Lies: A ball lying in any closely mown area (fairways and fringes) of your own hole, may be lifted, without penalty and cleaned. Before lifting the ball, the player must mark it’s position. The ball must be placed on a spot within one (1) club length and not nearer the hole than where it originally lay. You can not change cuts when taking a preferred lie (ie. the ball can not be moved from the fringe to the green even if it is within one club length). All other areas of the course, the ball is to be played down.

Doubt as to Procedure: If a player/team is doubtful of his rights or the correct procedure during the play of a hole, they may, without penalty, complete the hole with two balls invoking Rule 20.1C. The team must report the facts to the committee before returning their scorecard.

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Championship, there will be a sudden death playoff on the first hole. If the playoff is tied following the first hole, we will continue to holes 2 and 3 and loop the first three holes until a winner is determined.
