SIGN UP AND PAYMENT METHOD

OVERVIEW

In the past, payment for the main tournament was by check handed in at the club house at the time of sign up which was up to two weeks before each tournament.

Starting this year, payment for tournaments will be by credit card.  Members are encouraged to have their credit card put on file at Pine Ridge and those signing up will have their card numbers automatically charged just before the play date.  Alternatively, a member may pay in cash at the pro shop on the date of play provided he has indicated in advance that he will use this method of payment.  Pine Ridge has requested that the club submit a list of cash-paying members.

NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

TOURNAMENT SIGN UP

Tournament sign-up will begin approximately 10 days prior to each tournament date with each member receiving an email from the Tournament Chairman which will contain election boxes to select or reject play in the next event.

Players will accept or reject the invitation from the relative box in the email. For those without email, an agreement should be reached with each such member to either automatically be signed up for the next tournament or require a phone confirmation to play.

The Thursday before each tournament is the sign up cut off. On the Friday before each tournament, the pairings will be prepared by the tournament chairman and communicated to the club house. The club house will use this information to prepare score cards and cart charts. The club house will also use this Tee Sheet to process payment based on your credit card on file.

CANCELLATION

If a player finds it necessary to cancel after originally signing up, he should contact the Tournament Chairman immediately.

If a player finds it necessary to cancel after the pairings have been created and payment is made to BMGC, he should notify the Tournament Chairman immediately. Because your credit card may have  already been swiped for green fees, such a cancellation will not receive a refund or credit for a future tournament unless a late sign up replacement can be found.

LATE SIGN UP

Any unsigned player wishing to be included in a tournament after the sign-up deadline, when the pairings for the tournament have been made and score cards printed, should contact the Tournament Chairman to see if there are any openings available.

If the tournament for that date is a Team Event, it may not be possible to rearrange teams at the last minute.  A BLIND will be used to compete the team game.  The player, however, will be eligible for the closest-to-the-pin contests.  Payment for the round will be made either directly to the course on the day of the tournament or to a person who cancelled, as directed by the Tournament Chairman.

WEATHER

The membership will be notified if any tournament is cancelled due to inclement weather or any other commitment or conflict.  If the weather is bad and you have not been notified, call the pro shop: 410-252-1408 for a status.  A tournament will be canceled only during bad weather or the if condition of the course precludes the use of power carts.
