Pine Hills Jr Tournament
Wednesday, August 05, 2026
Thank you all for participating in 12th Annual Pine Hills Jr. Tournament. This was the largest group yet and we look ot build on that for next year. A few things I learned yesterday. The 4th-6th grade scorecards were cards were not correct. Since I have corrected to match the scorecard found within this page. Moving forward the 6th graders will be moved into the 7th and 8th grade division. Therefore the new division will be 6-8th Grade (Black tees) to adapt to how the state works. We will also turn over all divisions to contiunous putting and once a child finishes the hole they will go to the next tee and tee off. This will follow how the state has continous putting and how the prep tour and course would like to see the pace of play improved.
Girls divison changes
3rd and Younger will play and have their own set of tees.
4th-5th will now play the US KIDS Blue Tee's.
Very important
If you are signing up a child for the tournament please use the childs email. If the child does not have an email, please use a modified version of your email address as follows
- ex - johnsmith+joey@email.com - doing it this way mom/dad you will get all the email correspondance to your email but when logging into golf genius you will use johnsmith+joey@email.com to get in. This will also allow you to have a profile and sign up your child or multiple children.
Thank you for registering for the 12th Annual Pine Hills Jr Tournament. We look forward to another year of great competition. We encourage caddies to have a cart for the kid's clubs but the kids have to walk the course while playing.
Please arrive a minimum of 30 minutes before your tee time. Registration will be outside the clubhouse, near the mens first tee box. Stop, check in, confirm details and pick up the tournament gifts.
For any kids playing in the 8th grade and younger groups, they will need an adult caddie to accompany them. Therefore, each group has either two or three caddies (1 per child) riding in carts. There is a maximum of two carts given to groups for caddies. Any carts past that would be considered a spectator cart and the extra parents, grandparents or whomever would need to rent a cart for $25. Please take care of that in the pro shop.
Please be at the 1st tee 10 minutes before your tee time for the player meeting. This is very important and helps us get everyone off on time. Attached is the rules sheet for you to review before the tournament.
New this year - we changed tournament software. The new app will be Golf Genius - please go to your apple app store or google play store and download. When you sign up using the link below, you will make your username and password. Use this info to sign into your app. Once registered, play around inside the app to become familiar. It is very user friendly. If you struggle with it, that is ok. The day of the tournament, the group scorecard will have a unique ID that the scorekeeper can log into and keep score for all.
The tee times will be viewable on the Golf Genius App and the divisions. They will be released Monday August 3rd. View this link, you are on, and toggle to tee sheets. The tee times will be veiwable after 1pm.
We are going to use the live scoring app by Golf Genius for the tournament. The idea for the tournament is that one caddie or golfer keeps a hard copy scorecard for the entire group and one keeps the digital scorecard for the group. Please keep in mind that only one player or caddie from each group can be in the scorecard app at once. That one will be the designated scorekeeper for the entire group. There will be extra scorecards if needed at the first tee.
As always with great support from our local sponsors, kids will have lunch provided and drinks for the day. There will be coolers by the first tee and in the middle of the course with water and Gatorade for the players and caddies. Pizza will start at 10:30am and go to 3:20pm.
Thank you to Nucor Marseilles, Ottawa Dental Lab, Lotz Trucking, Burger and Sushi House (B.A.S.H), Peace by Piece Counseling, Shamrock Slots, and Computer Spa.
The radio will be at the club from 11:30 to 1:30 to cover the tournament. We plan to interview the kids throughout the day.
Most importantly, our main line of correspondence to players by app and email. Weather updates, changes, etc will be updated via the app and email. Please save yourself and us headaches by checking your email and the app frequently during the tournament.
Below are the rules for the tournament as well as the tie breaker policy.
We will give further instruction if needed on the first tee or before your round.
At the end of your round please report to the scores table inside the clubhouse, located by the TV(Digital Scoreboard) near the bar height tables. At that time you finalize your scorecards, double check the paper to the digital and submit.

Pine Hills Junior Tournament Tiebreaker Procedure
In the event of a tie for 1st place, a sudden death playoff between the players will take place. The players will flip a coin for who tees off first. Players will tee off on #1 and continue until a player wins a hole with a lower score.
In the event of a tie for 2nd or 3rd place, a putt-off on the practice green will take place. A coin flip will be done for player to pick if they go first or second. Tournament Staff will set up a 10-foot putt. Each player will get one practice putt. Players will have an equal amount of turns to make the putt. The first player to make the putt with their opponent missing wins the tiebreaker.
Good Luck!
