EGC 2026 October Outing
The EGC President’s Cup at St. Andrew’s Golf Club
West Chicago, IL | Thursday, October 8
Check-in opens @ 9a.m. / 10a.m. Shotgun
End the season where tradition lives.
There’s no better way to close the EGC season than with the President’s Cup at St. Andrew’s Golf Club in West Chicago.
Just like the oldest course in golf, EGC always ends its season at St. Andrew’s — ending the year where the sport started. It’s a day built around tradition, competition, bragging rights, and one final chance to close out the season in style.
This outing’s theme is Team/Foursome Themes. Pick a team style, dress the part, and bring a little personality to the course. Matching polos, retro golf gear, company colors, movie themes, full squad uniforms — if your foursome has a look, this is the day to show it off.
Format
Format: 4-Person, 2-Best-Ball Shamble
This outing will be played as a four-person, two-best-ball shamble.
Here’s how it works:
- All four golfers tee off.
- The group selects the best tee shot.
- Each golfer plays their own ball from that location through the remainder of the hole.
- The two lowest individual scores in the foursome are combined to determine the team’s score for that hole.
A double-bogey maximum applies to each golfer, so the highest possible team score on any hole is four over par—two double bogeys.
Important: This is not a scramble. After the best tee shot is selected, everyone plays their own ball into the hole. Your foursome is competing against the field, and two scores count on every hole—so teamwork matters!
President’s Cup
Current and past EGC presidents will also compete individually in a separate President’s Cup tournament, with one champion taking home the Cup. President’s Cup competitors will receive the same shamble advantage: they may begin each hole from their group’s selected best tee shot, but must play their own ball from that point forward.
