2026 Jack Newton International Junior Classic

Tournament Format

 

The Jack Newton International Junior Classic is a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) and Golf Australia Junior Order of Merit (GA OOM) event. 

 

The tournament will be played over 72 Holes in four days from Tuesday 6th October - Friday 9th October 2026. There will be no cut, with all players playing on all four days.

 

Monday 5th October is the Official Practice Day, Compulsory Tournament Registration, Long Drive Competition, and Tournament Opening Ceremony that will all take place at Cypress Lakes Golf and Country Club.

 

 

Monday 5th October

  • Official Practice Day
  • COMPULSORY Tournament Registration (9:00am to 5:00pm)
  • Long Drive Competition (10:00am to 5:00pm)
  • Opening Ceremony (5:30pm to 6:00pm)

 

Tuesday 6th October

  • Round 1 - Jack Newton International Junior Classic
  • Tee Times from 6:45am to 8:45am and 11:30am to 1:30pm

 

Wednesday 7th October

  • Round 2 - Jack Newton International Junior Classic
  • Tee Times from 6:45am to 8:45am and 11:30am to 1:30pm

 

Thursday 8th October

  • Round 3 - Jack Newton International Junior Classic
  • Seeded Draw
  • Tee Times from 6:45am to 8:45am and 11:30am to 1:30pm

 

Friday 9th October

  • Round 4 - Jack Newton International Junior Classic
  • Seeded Draw
  • Tee Times from 6:45am to 8:45am and 11:30am to 1:30pm
  • Tournament Presentation (6:30pm to 7:00pm)

 

 

Tournament Conditions

  • In the event of a tie for first place at the completion of 72 Holes in any Scratch Division, a sudden death playoff will take place (daylight permitting - if the playoff cannot be completed, joint winners will be declared).
  • All other ties (Runner Up, 3rd Place, or any Nett Divisions) will be decided via a countback.

 

 

The Championship Committee will comprise the JNJG General Manager, Head Tournament Rules Official, or their appointees. In the absence of a full Championship Committee, such members that may be present at the time may give a decision, and any decision so given will be deemed to be a decision of the full Championship Committee.
