Monday, October 7th -- First round (18 holes) - 8:00 am - #1 tee
Tuesday, October 8th -- Second round (18 holes) - 8:30 am - #1 & #10 tees

Eligibility


Male amateurs age 25 or older as of October 7, 2019.  Must be a KGA member.

Entry Fee and Deadline

$165 (carts included).  Deadline for entry is Monday, September 30th at 4:00 pm.

Format

36 holes of individual stroke play with gross and net scoring.  Overall Champion to be determined.  The event may be shortened to 18 holes if weather cancels either round.  Gift certificates from the host club will be awarded in amounts to be determined based on the number of total entries within each division.


Optional Skins Game

We will be running a daily optional skins game (gross only by age division) for players that wish to participate.  The cost is $20 per player which gets the player into the game for both days of the championship.  If you wish to participate, please bring cash to the first day of the championship and give it to the starter before you begin your first round of play. 


Divisions

Two age divisions:

  • 25 to 49 (gross scoring only)
  • 50 & Older (gross & net scoring)

 

Course Set-Up

The golf course will be set-up at approximately:

  • 6,700 yards (all participants)


Practice Round

Topeka Country Club is a private facility.  Practice rounds are available for $75 per player (cart included).  Times are available on October 1-2 or October 5-6.  Please call (785) 354-8561 to schedule a practice round time. 

Clubhouse and Practice Facilities

Clubhouse and practice facilities open one hour prior to the first starting time.  Practice facilities are for tournament contestants use only.

Defending Champion

Wichita's Jack Courington won another KGA title to finish off the 2018 tournament season at Crestview Country Club.  Courington finished at 4-under par 140 total to edge Wichita's Corey Novascone by one shot. 

Carts, Spectators and Caddies

Carts are included for both rounds of the championship as part of your entry fee. Spectators and caddies are always welcome at KGA Championships.  Only two carts are allowed per starting time.

Registration

There will be no registration at this event.  You are responsible to be at your assigned starting tee at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time.  This will give you adequate time to receive instructions and information from the Starter.

Score Posting


Scores from each round of this championship will be posted to the GHIN Handicap System using ESC (equitable stroke control).

Topeka Country Club accepts TBA for all purchases.

Close of Competition

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when the symbolic prize for the event has been presented, or if no ceremony, when all scores and results have been approved by the Committee.
