League Format
There are 2 competitions running during this 8-week league, giving you 2 chances to win!
🏆 Team Competition (Weeks 1–8)
This is a 3-person team competition.
- Every golfer plays Stroke Play (play your own ball).
- On every hole, the best 2 scores from your team count.
- Add those 2 scores together to get your team score for that hole.
Example (Par 4):
- Player 1: Birdie (3)
- Player 2: Par (4)
- Player 3: Bogey (5)
Your team score for that hole is 7 (3 + 4).
Each week, teams earn league points based on where they finish:
- 1st Place – 12 Points
- 2nd Place – 10 Points
- 3rd Place – 8 Points
- 4th Place – 6 Points
- 5th Place – 4 Points
- 6th Place – 2 Points
After Week 8, the team with the most total points will be crowned the Wednesday Night 3-Man League Champions.
👤 Individual Competition
You are also competing individually against every golfer in the league.
Weeks 1–3
- Used to establish your individual handicap.
Weeks 4–8
- Your Net Score (your gross score after your handicap is applied) will be tracked each week.
- Your total Net Score from Weeks 4–8 will determine the final individual standings.
The Top 3 individual Net Scores at the end of the season will win prizes.
Even if your team isn't in contention, you can still win an individual prize!
League Prizes
Team Championship
- 🏆 1st Place Team — $1,400
Individual Championship (Net Scores)
- 🥇 1st Place — $500
- 🥈 2nd Place — $300
- 🥉 3rd Place — $200
Tie Breakers
Team Championship Tie Breaker
If two or more teams are tied for the Team Championship after Week 8:
- The tied teams will play a 9-hole playoff using the same league format:
- Each golfer plays Stroke Play.
- The best 2 scores on each hole count toward the team score.
- If the teams are still tied after 9 holes:
- A Closest to the Pin contest will determine the champion.
- The contest will be played on Hole #7 at Pebble Beach.
- Each player from the tied teams will hit one tee shot.
- The team with the closest shot to the pin wins the championship.
Individual Championship Tie Breaker
If there is a tie for any prize position, the prize money for the tied positions will be combined and split evenly among the tied golfers.
Example:
If two golfers tie for 1st Place, the 1st Place ($500) and 2nd Place ($300) prizes will be combined into an $800 prize pool, and each golfer will receive $400.
The same method will be used for any tie involving prize positions.
Weekly Tie Breaker
If two Teams Tie for a particular week the total number of points will be evenly distributed between the tied teams. For example if two teams Tie for First, The first and second place points will be added and divided by two.
