Welcome to the MGA ChaChaCha Tournament

Friday, July 17th - Saturday, July 18th

 

Registrations Opens: Sunday, June 28th @ 8:00am

Registration Closes: Sunday, July 12th @ 5:00pm

 

 

 

Format:

  • This is a 4-person team event. You must have a full team to register.

  • This is a unique tournament format played with foursomes. 

  • On Day 1, the format will be:

    • Holes 1-6 are 1 low NET ball; Holes 7-13 are 2 low NET balls, and Holes 14-17 is 3 low NET balls, and on 18 ALL 4 balls count!

  • On Day 2, the format will be:

                On Hole 1, you count the best ball of the foursome. 

                On Hole 2, you count the best 2 balls of the foursome. 

                On Hole 3, you count the best 3 balls of the foursome.

            The process then repeats so that we are back to counting the best ball on the 4th hole, best 2 on the 5th hole, and so on. 

 

  • Tee Times Day 1 starting at 8:00am, 9:00am Shotgun start on Day 2.
  • Handicaps are based on the index in effect when signups close. Allowance for this event is 85%
  • Pairings will be published on the website shortly after signups close. They will be done randomly within flight.
  • Online mobile scoring will be required from one member in each foursome. Mobile Scoring is the scorecard of record.  
  • Courses are Creek/Choctaw
  • All tees will be available to players. Consider your choice carefully, as there will be NO tee changes once signup closes. 

Ties:

  • Ties will be broken by the USGA recommendation of Last 9,6,3,1.
  • During a playoff, ties will be resolved by chip-off. Players will chip, and the closest to the pin will win.   

 

Prizes/Payouts:

This event is flighted. The number of places paid will be determined by the number of total teams, with the payout approximating 40% of the field.  Payouts will be in Big Canoe Bucks. 

 

Proximity:

There will be proximity awards for this event on both days.

 

Food & Beverage: 

Drinks will be provided both days, and a box lunch will be on Day 2 ONLY.

 

Entry Fee: $75

 

The Entry Fee listed includes all tournament and F&B functions (if included) but does not include golf and cart fees.  The pro shop will calculate and bill those based on your individual status as an amenity member. 

 

Big Canoe Cup Points:

20 points for all participants plus performance points equal to one point per Big Canoe Buck won.

 

Score Posting:

This will be a postable round BOTH days.

 

Local Rules: 

Big Canoe Local Rules are in effect on the day of the tournament.   The professional staff will cover any changes or exceptions at the greenside meeting. 

 

Late Withdrawals: 

After signups close, you will be subject to payment of the full amount of the tournament charge.
