PLAYER INFORMATION

AGES/ELIGIBILITY

 Entries are open to junior male and female amateur golfers. A competitor must and not be 19 as of July 1.

ENTRY FEE

$100 ($50 match play fee for players who advance through the stroke play round.)

ENTRIES OPEN – CLOSE

FIELD SIZE

 84 juniors. 42 boys & 42 girls

FORMAT

  • Monday, July 1
    • 84 players play 18 holes of stroke play to determine top 16 seeds in boys and girls brackets (starting times 8:00 – 10:10 AM)
    • Top 16 in each are seeded into 4 pods of 4 players, based on stroke play score
    • Hospitality function (cookout) for players after stroke play round is complete
  • Tuesday, July 2
    • Three, 9 hole matches played within pods in round robin style
      • Round 1: 8:00 AM – 8:56 AM, #1 and #10
      • Round 2: 10:30 AM – 11:26 AM, #1 and #10
      • Round 3: 1:15 PM – 2:11 PM, #1 and #10
      • Playoffs to determine pod winners if necessary: 4:30 PM
        • Player with best record in each pod advances to semifinals
  • Wednesday, July 3
    • Boys and Girls Semifinal Matches in morning
      • 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM off #1
    • Boys and Girls Championship Matches in afternoon
      • 1:00 PM and 1:15 PM off #1

PRACTICE ROUND

One practice round per player. Practice rounds will be available on the designated times below two weeks prior to the competition. Please call UGA GC to reserve your practice round starting time after you have received your acceptance confirmation on June 19th.  Practice round cart and range fee is $30 plus tax. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

  • Monday - Thursday, anytime based on availability.
  • Friday - Sunday, after 1:00 p.m., based on availability.

YARDAGES & TEES

The GSGA tee markers will be utilized during the championship.  Yardages are approximate and may be adjusted due to inclement weather or other factors that may affect the playing conditions during the competition. Yardages are posted via the Event Portal.

GOLF SHOP & DRIVING RANGE

The golf shop and driving range will open at 6:30 a.m. each day of competition.

STARTING TIMES

Starting times for tournament play will be assigned by the GSGA and posted at the club the day before the competition starts. You may visit www.gsga.org for complete pairing information and starting times beginning on September June 26. 

REGISTRATION

No formal registration will be held on site. Player withdraws must be called or e-mailed to the GSGA office so that an alternate may be contacted.

CARTS

Practice round cart and range fees are $30 inclusive. Cash and credit cards will be accepted in the golf shop.

CADDIES

Caddies are NOT permitted. Players must walk and carry their own bag.

Food service will be available in the clubhouse. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

REFUND POLICY

A $30 service charge will be retained by the GSGA on all refunds granted prior to the close of entries. Entry fees will not be refunded after entries close unless there is a waiting list and your spot can be filled. Withdraws after the close of entries must be made by calling the GSGA Rules and Competitions Department at (770) 955-4272 or (800) 949-4742 or via email.
