Practice Round

Practice rounds are available to players only on Sunday, June 23rd at a cost of $50. Reservations must be made by calling the Golf Shop at (270) 683-3387. Additional weekdays  may be available for practice rounds, but there will be no practice rounds available on Saturday, June 22nd.

USGA White Tees will be used for this qualifying event.

 

NO Registration 

At the starting tees, the Notice to Competitors, Hole Location sheet and Pace of Play Policy will be available. Important:  Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time.  There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

 

Food & Beverage:

The golf course will have food and beverage services available.  Cash or credit charges are accepted.  Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the facility.   

 

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play.  This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf.  Local Rules of the host course do not apply.  Golf House Kentucky Rules Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  2 Strokes.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

The USGA DOES permit the use of distance-measuring devices for its championships.

 

Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:

This qualifying site uses the Golf House Kentucky Pace of Play Guidelines. Please review the pace of play guidelines and procedures prior to starting your round.

 

Player/Caddie Carts:

Golf carts are not permitted.  Pull/Push carts are allowed for the qualifier. 

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie.

  • Parents/Step Parents or Legal guardians cannot caddie for the U.S. Girls Junior Championship or sectional qualifiers.

 

Practice Range:

The practice range opens one hour before the first starting time weather permitting.  The cost of range balls is $5 and the cost is the responsibility of each contestant.

 

Qualifying Positions:

A total of three (3) qualifying places will be available. There will also be two (2) alternate positions available. In the event of any tie for the last qualifying place or any of the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a sudden death play-off to begin immediately following the conclusion of the stipulated round. 

 

Play-off:

In the event of a tie for the last qualifying place or the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off.  The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier.

 

Withdrawals: 

Please contact the USGA if you need to withdraw.  If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on June 21, please call (270) 559-0328 and leave a message on the voicemail.

 

Attire & Conduct:

Proper golf attire is required.  Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited.  Shorts must be mid-thigh.  Golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required.  The host club is a “spikeless facility.” 

 

Close of Competition:

The qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
