2026 Waterloo Chapter Championship

 

 

 

Event Format 

 

Format: Flighted Stroke Play 

 

Chapter members are invited to test their competitive skills at our annual Chapter Championship.

 

There will be 4 flights of Individual Stroke Play based on your Golf Canada handicap index. Low Gross and Low Net prizes will be awarded. This is a rain or shine event.

 

Flights

 

LPGA Amateurs Flights

 

Participants will compete in flights based on their Golf Canada handicap index (HI) as of the handicap cut-off date (see key dates below). If you are new to this event, the handicap factor means that you will be playing with, and competing against, players of similar ability which can be less intimidating if you have not played in the event before. Final flights based on number of registered participants and distribution of HI are: 


0 - 20.9    First Flight*
21.0 – 24.9   Second Flight
25.0 – 29.9   Third Flight
30.0 – 36.9   Fourth Flight **

 

* Championship and First flight combined into one flight.

** Any participants with handicap above 40.4 will play using a handicap index of 40.4

 

Playing Handicaps will be based on a 95% Handicap Allowance.

  • Open to members of the Waterloo Chapter. Participants must be members in good standing as of the date of the competition.
  • All participants must have a current Golf Canada Handicap Index as of the handicap cut-off date.

 

Registration Fees

 

$65 per player

Fee includes: 1 round of 18 hole tournament play, tournament referee, light snack and Championship awards. 

 

Kitchener Golf Memberships: If you have a membership with Kitchener Golf, the rates for this event are:

$40 per player for people with a Weekday Membership and $10 per player for people who have a membership that includes weekend privileges.

 

A golf cart is NOT included and is not mandatory. Please pay for a golf cart at the proshop the day of the event if you choose to ride.

 

Once again, the Chapter is able to provide some assistance with expenses to allow more members to participate at a reduced cost. 

 

Refund Requests: The payment service fee will not be refunded (LPGA Am. standard rate is 4%). Requests for refunds within 72 hours of the event will receive a 50% refund. 

 

Key Dates and Times:

Registration Opens - Friday, August 14, 2026 at 07:00 AM

Handicap Cut-off Date - Friday, September 4 @ 9:00 p.m.

Registration Closes - Saturday, September 05, 2026 at 09:00 PM

 

 

Chapter Championship will be held   (Rain or Shine)

 

  • 8:30 - Registration opens (inside the club house to the left of the bar)
  • 9:00 - A players meeting will be held and a volunteer Rules Official will review some basic rules and answer questions - please review all of the information in the Players Documents tab before the event (several documents)
  • 10:00 - first tee time (Tee times will be posted a few days before the event - go to the tee sheets tab above)
  • After all rounds are completed, low gross and low net awards will be presented in the clubhouse (near the bar. (Note: there is a private event in the dining area that afternoon).

 

  • All players will use the forward tees (red) - Yardage is 4834
