Format:
18 holes of individual stroke play. Play will be at 100% of the Course Handicap. Men will be playing from the WHITE tees and women will be playing from the RED tees. The Course Handicap for women will be adjusted accordingly. The August 15, 2019 Handicap Index will be used to calculate the Course Handicap. The number of qualifying spots available at each qualifying site will be determined based on the total number of entrants and the final field at each site. Final numbers of spots will be available from the Committee on the day of qualifying. Ties for the final qualifying spot(s) and/or position of alternates will be determined by the USGA recommended method of matching score cards. Qualifiers will advance to the Championship at Poppy Hills GC on Monday-Tuesday, September 30-October 1, 2019.
Competition Schedule:
Starting times will start at 8:00am off Hole 1. Check the "Pairings and Starting Times" for groupings and starting times. Players should be at their assigned tee 10 minutes prior to their starting time.
Practice Round Information:
The NCGA does not arrange practice rounds.
If you wish to play a practice round you must contact the Golf Shop at (408) 258-3636. Practice rounds are subject to availability.
Cart Fee Information:
The NCGA is committed to providing golfers with disabilities as much course access as the conditions allow. Please contact the host Head Professional to make requests for additional access at least one week prior to the event. SPECTATOR CARTS ARE PROHIBITED.
Golf carts are optional at the player's expense. A maximum of two carts per group is permitted.
NOTE: Carts will be restricted to cart paths for all play.
Food and Beverage:
Food and beverage will not be available for purchase at San Jose CC. Please plan accordingly for the competition day.
Rules Information:
Golf shoes – Model Local Rule G-7 is in effect.
Maximum Score – The maximum allowable score for a side on any hole is 9, Rule 21.2 applies.
Alternative to Stroke and Distance – Model Local Rule E-5 is in effect.
Additional Information:
Prior to the first day of the event, you must make yourself familiar with the Player Handbook, Hard Card, and Pace of Play Policy.
