Format: The Tournament shall consist of 36 holes of Four-Ball Stroke Play, conducted in accordance with Rule 23, Rules of Golf. A man will receive 90% of his Course Handicap and a woman 95% of her Course Handicap. Course Handicap (after allowance) of the members of a side may not differ by more than eight strokes. If there is a difference of more than eight strokes, an additional 10 percent reduction shall be applied to the Course Handicap of each member of the advantaged side, as recommended by The USGA Handicap System. Maximum field size: 96 players. Two person teams may consist of two female players - or one female and one male.

Eligibility: This tournament is open to female amateur golfers who are AGA members in good standing for at least 30 days prior to the first day of the tournament and male or female (non-members who have an official USGA handicap). Participants must be 14 years of age or older and have a USGA Handicap Index no greater than 36.0 (or 27.0 for men); if between the ages of 14 and 17, a Handicap Index of 12.0 or less is required.
Starting Time: Shotgun start scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday, weather permitting.
Entry fee of $175 per player or team fee of $350 will include green fees, cart fees, range balls, awards and lunch on Sunday.
Transportation: Motorized carts are included in the fees but players may walk.
Caddies and Spectators: Caddies and spectators will not be allowed in the 2019 Weekend Classic.
Registration will be held before play on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Practice rounds:
At Wickenburg Ranch - will be available, for players only, from April 20 to April 26 after 11 a.m. Thursday through Saturday (or anytime Sunday through Wednesday) and may be booked 7 days prior to the event, based on availability. $75 + tax per player includes cart. Practice rounds can be scheduled by calling the golf course at (928) 688-5535. Players must mention that they are playing in the AWGA event.
At Los Caballeros - will be available, for players only, from April 13 to April 26 and may be booked 14 days prior to the event, based on availability. $55 + tax per player includes cart. Practice rounds can be scheduled by calling the golf course at (928) 415-8114. Players must mention that they are playing in the AWGA event.
Lodging: Players are responsible for making their own lodging arrangements.

Cancellations: All cancellation and refund policies in the online 2019 Conditions of Competition for Women’s Events on the web site apply. Requests for refunds will be handled as follows:
1. Withdraw prior to closing date – entry fee refunded, minus $15 administrative fee charged to each player who cancels or withdraws after the entry has been submitted. A request for refund must be made in writing or by email before the start of the tournament. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
2. Withdraw after closing date (two weeks prior to event) – half of entry fee may be considered for refund, if due to family emergency, family death or medical emergency (must have documentation from a physician.)
3. Withdraw within five days of event – no refund will be considered within five days of the event.
Cancellations must be made in writing by email to Le Ann Finger, Director of Tournaments and Player Development.
Exemptions into tournaments shall be granted up to the closing date. Exemptions apply only to the criteria which determine how the field is set (e.g. Handicap or points). See the 2019 Conditions of Competition posted on the AGA web site for specific exemptions allowed.
Determining Ties: Ties for the title of Champion are decided by a hole-by-hole playoff. All other ties are decided using the recommended USGA tie-breaking procedure of Matching Scorecards (also known as Scorecard Count-Back) as referenced in Section 5A(6) of the Committee Procedures, Rules of Golf.
Prizes will be awarded to overall champions and as well as gross and net by flight. There will be a female team division and a mixed team division. Flights will be determined by team course handicap. A minimum of 33% of each flight will be paid.
