Mission and Vision Statement
The purpose of the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Golf Foundation is exclusively to carry out charitable and educational purposes in support of Junior Golf. Junior Golf is broadly defined as golf projects and programs for boys and girls of any age through high school graduation.
The mission of The First Tee of South Dakota is to improve the lives of young people by providing educational programs and learning environments that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Team South Dakota
Team South Dakota is part of the US National Development Program designed to expand, strengthen, and diversify the junior golf pipeline by creating development, competitive, and talent identification opportunities for elite athletes ages 13-18 in South Dakota.
First Tee - South Dakota
The SDGA Junior Golf Foundation supports the programming of First Tee - South Dakota, a youth development program that teaches golf, values, and life skills to young people across the state.
Junior Golf Scholarships
The foundation awards up to six $1,500 scholarships annually to graduating seniors who are attending a post high school educational facility. Eligible applicants should apply by June 30.
