Tournament Proper:
Monday, June 24th - 18 Holes Stroke Play
Tuesday, June 25th - 18 Holes Stroke Play
Wednesday, June 26th - Match Play - Round of 32 - Morning
Wednesday, June 26th - Match Play - Round of 16 - Afternoon
Thursday, June 27th - Match Play - Quarterfinals - Morning
Thursday, June 27th - Match Play - Semi-Finals - Afternoon
Friday, June 28th - Match Play - 36 Hole Final - Morning

Eligibility: Amateur golfers who have a membership with a RIGA member club or are a Rhode Island resident and a Men’s Handicap Index of not more than 12.0
 

Qualifying for Match Play: 36 Holes - Stroke Play to determine 32 match play qualifiers.  In the event of a tie, final qualifying places shall be decided by a sudden death playoff immediately following the completion of scheduled play.

 

Pre-Qualifying: 18 Holes - Stroke Play

Cranston CC: June 5, 2019
Fenner Hill GC: June 6, 2019
 

Each qualifying site will be limited to 80 players.  Each player will have the choice as to which site they would like to play, until that site becomes full. The number of qualifiers at each qualifier will be determined by the RIGA after entries close, based on the size of the field at each site.

Alternates: an alternate pool will be formed that includes ALL players from each qualifying site with the next best score after the cutline.  After qualifying, all players in the pool will then be randomly selected and ranked by number as alternates. The alternate list for will be published, posted online and updated as players are added to the Championship Proper.

Match Play Qualifiers - Previous Year
Low Amateur - Previous RI Open
Stroke Play Champion - 5 Years
Mid-Amateur Champion - 3 Years
Top 30 POY Players & Ties - Previous Year
Top 10 Senior POY Players & Ties - Previous Year
Top 5 Junior POY Players & Ties - Previous Year
Four-Ball Champions - 1 Year
John P. Burke (Gross Div.) Champion - 3 Years
Senior Amateur (Gross Div.) Champion - 1 Year
Junior Amateur Champion - 1 Year
RIIL H.S. Champion - 1 Year
Challenge Cup POY - 1 Year (Only if R.I. Resident)
