“OPTIONAL” FORMAT: Individual Net. No official format will be used, but if you would like to play in the “optional” format, it will be an individual net. Individuals compete, with each player playing their own ball, with a max score of their ESC. The fee is $5 PER PERSON to join this “optional” event. Please pay this fee at registration. Men will play the Middle tees (6,125 yards, par 70; 70.7/134), women will play the Forward tees (5,680 yards, par 72; 73.4/135). Higher handicap/senior men who would like to play the Forward Tees (5,680 yards, par 70; 68.5/132) may do so by making that request via email to Spencer Sorensen (ssorensen@ncga.org) by no later than Thursday August 15 at 12:00 P.M.
REGISTRATION: Registration will begin at 11:00 A.M. outside the pro shop. Please make sure to check-in NO LATER than 12:30 P.M. You will receive your scorecard and welcome gift at that time.
SCORING: Once your round is complete, please sign and attest your scorecards and give them to Spencer near the pro shop at the same site as registration. The final results will be emailed out by no later than Wednesday August 21. YOUR SCORE WILL BE POSTED FOR YOU.
PRIZES: Gift cards will be awarded for Closest to the Hole contests on par threes.
RULES OF PLAY: The Rules of Golf are in effect.
CARTS: The 90-degree rule is in effect for this event, unless weather or the course staff dictates otherwise.
DRESS CODE: Players must be properly attired both on the golf course and premises of the club. Blue jeans, designer jeans, t-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh (no jean shorts).
FOOTWEAR: Metal Spikes are prohibited.
GOLF SHOP & PRACTICE RANGE: The Golf Shop and driving range will be open at 11:00 A.M. for outing participants.
FOOD SERVICE: A box lunch will be provided to players, which will be placed out on players’ carts by 12:30 p.m.
