“OPTIONAL” FORMAT: Four-Ball Net. No official format will be used, but if you would like to play in the “optional” format, it will be a four-ball net (two person best ball). Teams of two compete, with each player playing their own ball, with a max score of 5 over par on any hole. The fee is $10 PER TEAM to join this “optional” event. Please pay this fee at registration. Men will play the White tees (5,802 yards, par 70), women will play the Blue tees (5,401 yards, par 71). Men wishing to play the Black tees (6,231, par 70) should hit the ball at least 225 yards off the tee consistently, and have a recommended handicap index under 15. You may request to do so via email to Sam Staton (sstaton@ncga.org) by no later than Thursday September 12
REGISTRATION: Registration will begin at 9:30 A.M. outside the pro shop. Please make sure to check-in NO LATER than 11:00 A.M. You will receive your scorecard, welcome gift, and lunch.
SCORING: Once your round is complete, please sign and attest your scorecards and give them to Sam near the pro shop. The final results will be emailed out by no later than Tuesday, September 17.
PRIZES: Gift cards will be awarded for Closest to the Hole contests on par threes.
RULES OF PLAY: The Rules of Golf are in effect.
CARTS: This is a 90 degree cart rule event, unless course conditions dictate otherwise (course’s decision).
DRESS CODE: Players must be properly attired both on the golf course and premises of the club. Blue jeans, designer jeans, t-shirts and tank tops are prohibited. Golf shirts must be worn and shorts must be no shorter than mid-thigh (no jean shorts).
FOOTWEAR: Metal Spikes are prohibited.
GOLF SHOP & PRACTICE RANGE: The Golf Shop and driving range will be open at 9:30 A.M. for participants.
FOOD SERVICE: A boxed lunch will be provided for players prior to teeing off.
