Thank you for your entry into the 31st Oregon Mid-Amateur Championship, May 4 - 5 at The Reserve Vineyards & Golf Club.  Enclosed you will find your starting time for the first round on Saturday, May 4.  Upon the completion of Saturday’s round, the field will be repaired by gross score for the final round on Sunday, May 5. Sunday’s starting times will begin at 8:30 am off of holes #1 and #10, please plan accordingly.  Please check the OGA website at www.oga.org or call the following phone number: 503-989-0069 on Saturday evening for Sunday’s starting times.

Practice Round: Players may call the Reserve pro shop (503-649-8191), at any time to make practice round arrangements. Practice rounds can be scheduled on a space available basis from May, 1 - 3. Contestants are eligible for one complimentary practice round. Practice rounds are for contestants only and will not be extended to guests, caddies, or family members. You must identify yourself as a Mid-Amateur Championship Contestant in order to receive your free practice round. Players who wish to use their practice round are expected to abide by all club rules including pace of play. 

Food & Beverage:  The OGA will host a buffet after Saturday’s round.

 

Course Yardage: Course yardages for the men and women are attached; please note these yardages are subject to change by the Committee.

Format and Prizes: 36-hole stroke play competition with a Men’s and Women’s division.  All prize awards will be made on the basis of GROSS finish. Gift Cards will be awarded to top finishers and are only redeemable at The Reserve. Special awards from Jones Sports Co. will be issued to the Gross Men's and Women's Champions.

 

Automotive Transportation:   Players may use automotive transportation.  Cart fees must be paid by the contestant at the time of rental. No more than two carts will be allowed per-group.

 

Caddies: The Reserve will not have caddies available. Contestants may bring their own caddies.

 

Practice Range: Warm up range balls will be made available to contestants prior to each round courtesy of the OGA.

 

OGA Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times.  Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind.  Neat and clean pants, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts are acceptable, as are sweaters and golf shirts with a collar.  Shoes must be worn at all times. Competitors in violation of this policy will not be permitted to begin play and may have their entry revoked should a violation occur before the close of competition.  In addition to the competitor, a player’s caddie is also required to adhere to the OGA Dress Code.

 

OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: will be in effect during the championship.  Pace of Play guidelines will be available before each round at the starter’s tent.

Score Posting: will be done by the OGA for each round after the Championship has been completed.  The OGA will post each player’s adjusted score to GHIN as a tournament score, for handicapping purposes.

 

Cancellations: It is extremely important that you contact the OGA office, 503-981-4653, as soon as possible if you are forced to withdraw from the championship.  We expect all entrants to complete their rounds and fulfill their playing obligations.
