Thank you for your entry into the 29th Oregon Women’s Stroke Play Championship, June 11th – 12th, at Michelbook Country Club. Attached you will find your pairing and starting time for the first round on Tuesday, June 11th.   Upon completion of Tuesday’s round, the field will be repaired by gross score (within each division) for the final round, on Wednesday, June 12th.  Final round starting times will be available Tuesday evening at www.oga.org or you may phone the following number 503-989-0069. Wednesday starting times will begin at 7:30 am. Additionally, a text message will be sent with starting times. If you would like to receive a text message with your starting time, please log into your OGA Tournament profile and make sure that your cell phone information is updated.

 

 

Practice Round: Players may call the pro shop (503) 472-2129 at any time prior to the championship to make practice round arrangements. Practice rounds will be available on a space available basis any time during the week prior and after 11am during the week and after 2pm weekends. Practice rounds are for contestants only and will not be extended to guests, caddies, or family members. Players must identify themselves as a contestant in the Super Senior Championship to receive their complimentary practice round. Additional practice can be arranged at a fee of $25.

 

OGA Hosted Lunch:  The OGA will host a buffet lunch for all contestants during the championship. 

 

Practice Range: The driving range will be open each day during the championship.  Complimentary warm up range balls will be made available to contestants prior to each round, courtesy of the OGA.

 

Cart Reservations: Contestants in the Open Division must walk at all times during a stipulated round.  Contestants in the Senior Division may use automotive transportation.  Cart fees must be paid to the club at the time of rental.  As a reminder, please follow any cart path restrictions posted by Michelbook.

Caddies: Michelbook will not have caddies, players may bring their own. 

 

Dress Code: Proper attire must be worn at all times.  Proper attire does not include spandex body wear, cutoffs, running shorts, short-shorts, tank tops, tee shirts, or denim of any kind or color, or unkempt clothing of any kind.  Neat and clean pants, skirts, slacks, cords, or appropriately hemmed, tailored shorts no more than 6 inches above the knee are acceptable, as are sweaters and sweatshirts, golf shirts. Shoes must be worn at all times.  Contestants not in compliance with the OGA Dress Code will be Disqualified from the championship and removed from the golf course.

 

Code of Conduct: Contestants are expected to (1) know and play by The Rules of Golf, (2) conduct themselves at all times in a sportsmanlike manner, (3) respect the golf course and the rights of other contestants and, (4) fulfill their playing obligations.  Those who violate the Code of Conduct are subject to immediate disqualification from the Oregon Women’s Stroke Play Championship and possible suspension from future play in OGA Championships.

 

OGA Pace of Play Guidelines: will be in effect during the championship.  Pace of play guidelines will be available before each round at the starter’s tent and are also posted on the OGA website at www.oga.org.

Score Posting: will be done by the OGA for each round after the championship has been completed.  The OGA will post each player’s adjusted score to GHIN as a tournament score, for handicapping purposes.
