Entry Fee: Will remain $60 for the 2019 Season. This fee includes greens and cart fees, as well as lunch and prizes. Each tournament also includes an optional skins game and raffle, at $5 each.


Eligibility: Players must be a male golfer, over the age of 50, who is an active member of the WVGA and carries an active USGA Handicap Index.


Format:  18-hole individual stroke play with full USGA/WVGA handicaps. All Senior Series tournaments are 10:00AM shotgun start unless otherwise noted.


Points: Senior Series Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in both gross and net divisions and will be updated to the Player of the Year Points Standings

immediately following each event.


Flights: Senior (50-59), Silver (60-69), Gold (70+)


Event Yardages: The WVGA strives in making sure that each age division is playing from an appropriate yardage at each of the Senior Series events. Yardage approximations for

each division are listed below but please note that these could change slightly depending on host facility and/or weather. Exact yardages for specific events will be included in the

Player Information email that will be sent out a few days prior to the event.


Approximate Yardages:  Senior Division (6,400 yds.), Silver Division (6,000 yds.), and Gold Division (5,400 yds.)


Pairing Request / Pairings: The WVGA accepts pairing request at each of our Senior Series events. Please be sure to include your pairing request during the time of registration prior to each event either through the online registration or on the paper entry form. Players may also call or email Cory Hoshor at choshor@wvga.org to make pairings request.

Pairings will be made and released two days prior to each event and will be included in your Player Information email.


Players Meeting / Announcements: A WVGA staff member will hold a player’s meeting 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the shotgun round. It is imperative that all players be at their golf carts at this time so that the WVGA staff can go over the Notice to Players for that particular day as well as any announcements from the host facility. Once concluded, players will be instructed to their starting holes.


Registration: All contestants must register and pay in advance for each tournament. Entries may be paid for via online registration, or by downloading a paper entry with payment by check or credit card. Registration into each event must be filed prior to the entry deadline. No “day of” payments will be accepted at any time. Please contact the WVGA if you have questions.


Entry Deadline: The entry deadline for each Senior Series event will be 48 hours prior to each tournament date. No entries will be accepted after this time.


Withdrawal Policy: Refunds will be issued to those who properly withdraw before the registration deadline. An $8 processing fee will be assessed. Withdrawals made after the registration deadline will not be issued a refund, with the exception of a medical emergency or the like.


Transfer of Entry: For West Virginia Golf Association One-Day events only, players may transfer their entry fees to another one-day event site. To successfully transfer the entry fee, players must submit a written request to Cory Hoshor, at choshor@wvga.org.


Score Posting: At the conclusion of each event each player’s score will automatically be posted to the GHIN Handicap System. Please do not enter your own scores from the competitive round, as this will result in a double post.


Year-End Awards / Recognition: Winners of each division will be awarded year-end prizes at the final event as well as being recognized in front of their peers. Participation awards will also be given out at this time for those participants who have completed in all or all but one of the 2019 Senior Series Events.
