The Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship began in 1988 at Colonial Country Club. The Mid-Amateur Championship is open to amateurs who possess an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index of 8.0 or less from a TGA member club or course. Senior Amateur players must be at least 25 years of age on or before October 17, 2019.
The Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship is a 54-hole stroke play championship. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the low 30 and ties. In the event of a tie for the Champion, there will be a sudden death playoff once all scores have been posted.
