Tournament Field

The Event will play host to a maximum of 144 players for qualifying rounds, with the field cut to top 64 players for Match Play Championship, all competing in one division.

 

Format
36 holes of individual stroke play at gross. Low 64 players advance to match play. A tie for the final qualifying spot(s) will result in an immediate hole-by-hole playoff. Playoff will begin as soon as can be determined immediately following the conclusion of the 2nd round. If daylight, weather or other uncontrollable issues do not allow for a playoff to be completed immediately following round 2, the playoff will occur the following morning.

 

 

Starting Times
Starting times begin at 7:30 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 7:00 a.m. Wednesday thru Saturday.  All times will be posted online at azgolf.org

 

Practice Rounds:

Practice rounds will be available to tournament participants starting July 16th, 2019 for a price of $45.00
 

AGA Policies in Effect
All AGA policies listed at www.azgolf.org will be in effect. By submitting an entry for this event the player agrees to abide by all policies.

 

Caddies
Caddies are not permitted during the first two rounds of stroke play, however they will be permitted during match play competition.
Any individual who assists a player in accordance with the Rules or rides in the golf cart is considered to be the player’s caddie. A caddie is expected to comply with the standards set forth in the AGA apparel policy, except that caddies are permitted to wear appropriate non-collared shirts. Caddies not meeting the minimum apparel standards may be asked to change into appropriate attire or lose the privilege to caddie.

 

Carts
Carts are provided for player use. Players are asked to remove belongings and return carts immediately upon completion of each round so carts can be restaged for later groups.

 

Guidelines & Information
Spectators
Spectators are welcomed at AGA events but must remain on cart paths or in the rough and at least 15 yards from the contestants at all times. There must be no communication during the stipulated round between contestants and spectators that could be deemed advice of any nature. Spectators are not allowed to use carts.

 

Dress Code
The AGA complies with the apparel policy at each host site. Shoes/clothes should be changed in the locker room only. Golf-style shirts and either slacks or Bermuda-length shorts are acceptable for players and caddies. Tennis attire, t-shirts and slacks/shorts of denim material are not acceptable. The apparel policy is in effect at all times during the tournament. Players not complying with the dress code may be asked to change into appropriate attire or may be withdrawn from the event. See “caddies” for caddie dress code.

 

Official Withdraws
In order to officially withdraw from an AGA event, a player MUST contact the AGA at 602-944-3035 and leave a voice message at extension 210 regardless of the time of day OR, if still on-site, personally notify the AGA staff-in-charge (listed on the Notice to Players).

 

Official Time
The official time is kept at holes 1 and 10. All other clocks at the clubhouse or driving range are considered unofficial.
